THIS IS AN OUTRAGE THE KIDS ARE SUPPOSED TO ENJOY SUMMER OFF THINK OF THE CHILDREN
NSFC STANDS FOR NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN
SANKEY PLS HALP SOS
ps I bet Saban doesnt show up. Grad Assistants only.
Nick Saban is trying to recruit some medical scholarship kids early.
Is Saban trying to f#ck with us?
Or has he held this camp before around the same time in June?
It sort of has the "Nick Saban Football Camps - a division of Saban Worldwide, LLC" feel to it just by looking at the poster, but yeah, I can only imagine what inspired this, at least in part. You can only hope that - if nothing else - he hires a more competent marketing firm than Penn State did in Franklin & Associates.
NSFC - "Not Safe For Children", OR "Nick Saban, Fucking Cheater"
So now Harbaugh can dictate where coaches will be just by holding camps in their states? I'm sure he doesn't mind that kind of pull.
Seriously. I'd hold one on the day of Alabama's Spring Game just to jerk them around a little.
The hypocrisy and butthurt is palpable. Love it!

I agree that this is gamesmanship and a smart move by Saban. That said, the opinion a year agao was that Michigan wasn't going to make any real waves with these camps and that the top kids from AL would still go to Bama and Auburn. This shows that Harbaugh truly is a thorn in their side and they feel they need to play defense.
I'm OK with this. The kids who weren't going to look at Michigan seriously will go to the Saban camp, and the kids truly interested in Michigan will show up to ours knowing they have lots of chances to see Bama. Plus, there are lots of kids in the south that will get Michigan offers and not Bama offers, or who might get offers from both but are getting more love from Michigan.
We're not doing this to get every kid from the South, but to get a couple. If this happened a year ago, for example, I imagine Kingston Davis, who wasn't being looked at by Bama, still would have shown up to our camp.
Agreed. This legitimizes the Michigan football camps.
Kids (and their parents) are smart. They know why Saban is doing this. If even Saban is setting his schedule by what Harbaugh does, well it may be worth checking out what all the fuss is.
It's a net win for us. We won't get some kids that are going to go to Saban's camp instead. But the kids we do get will be a higher quality as more and more attention is focused on what Harbaugh / Michigan are up to.
We don't need to get every recruit Saban really wants. We just need to hit on a couple here and there.
With the pull of the Alabama program, I wonder just how much Harbaugh's presence really scare's Saban. Alabama can recruit wherever it wants and do so with great success. The better SEC programs also recruit nationally. If we get one or two kids from Alabama, does it really hurt them?
I'd think the bigger problem is if more schools may follow in JH's footsteps.
I also think that as Michigan continues to succeed as we all expect them to with JH at the reigns, it will become easier to get top recruits. In the short term, all of the exposure makes our recruiting easier but the anticipated success of Michigan football will eventually carry the day.

Eh this is a pretty solid response from Saban, our camp isn't going to get top kids from alabama now.
yes, unfortunately I think you are right. This is a pretty good 'fight fire with fire' response and I'm sure it will be effective. Wonder if other schools/coaches will follow suit.
That said I think it's hilarious that these coaches now feel compelled to do this. Harbaugh is clearly the puppet master right now.
Agree that this is a smart play by Saban. However, my understanding is that "top kids", if they go to camps at all, typically do so for only a day -- kind of a cameo appearance -- so there'd be time for them to go to both camps.
They noticed they didn't have the required 15 pieces of FLARE on their helmets, so they updated...

Couches in East Lansing.
I'd love to see Harbaugh change the day of his camp. See if Saban follows suit.
No way Harbaugh changes the date of his camp; he's not afraid of Saban, and certainly won't back down because Saban scheduled a camp for the same time...
I think that would be great actually.
I wouldn't really consider this a response. He held the same camps around the same time last year.
That just coincidentially started the day before and ended the day after Michigan's camp?
Wow, Highschool 1 and Highschool 2 are very prestigious programs.
Saban: Oh yeah, well OUR camp's gonna have a magician, pony rides, cake, AND goodie bags!
Real or April Fools'?
