Ryan Day Open to moving The Game

With divisions going away next year once USC and UCLA join the B1G, Eddie Munster mentioned he would be open to moving The Game. In my opinion this game should never be moved. I am curious as to what everyone elee thinks given the ever-changing landscape of college football.

They may have to resort to this...but it wouldn't be ideal. Opening games can be notoriously sloppy and players are notoriously raw (can you imagine having to start a freshman QB for this)? The hot seasonal weather would take away from the hard-hitting nature of the The Game as well.

The great thing about The Game as it stands now (and most of the biggest rivalry games) as the finale of the regular season, is that (barring any significant injuries) both teams are at their performance peak.

This will add to the fuel that mouth breathing Ohioans need to get rid of him when they have their worst season under him this year.

Does he want to move the Game to Ford Field?

How about to Third Base so he can have a home game?

How about a night game so he can say they lost the Don in the lights?

Maybe he doesn't want to risk losing two consecutive weeks to Michigan and therefore, being knocked out of the playoffs.

To be fair, Michigan could lose two weeks in a row and suffer the same fate. However, Michigan is at the top of their game right now.

Something to keep in mind.

What happens if they split the last two games and meet in the playoffs? (Under the new format. Now that would be interesting. Something the SEC would not envy.)

He’s not wrong. Who cares if they play the last game or 3rd game or 7th game. Times are changing. Funny to see all the so-called “progressives” on this blog want to deny progress.
