Really starting to get concerned about secondary health.

The top guys don't just need to get back. They need a few games of full speed game reps by PSU

And if you're questionable...why would you play against MAC level teams when you can get another week of rest?

You don't even know what these injuries are. Have you ever sprained your ankle?

If so, I assume you know that it takes time to heal and the more rest you give it, the closer you are to 100%...but if you rush back, you know that you risk reinjuring yourself.

So do you think these guys are going to take that risk versus BGSU or Rutgers?

What about a concussion? Same thing. Another week can be huge.

The point? We don't know what these injuries are...so being chicken little about how they're being managed is ridiculous.

Some injuries get better with more rest. Other injuries might not improve the same way...but risking it against BGSU vs. risking it against Rutgers is a no Brainerd.

Also, wasn't Makari Paige listed as questionable last week?

I had this same feeling for a minute, but especially after last week I watched how the coaches have futzed around with everyone’s PT and realized that the most likely explanation for all of these head-scratching decisions is that they genuinely have viewed the beginning of this season as a preseason. It feels like they’ve been stress-testing depth more than doing things out of necessity.

This is the stupidest fckin narrative that we fans need to get out of our heads. I keep seeing this and let me tell you the coaches did not treat those 3 games as “preseason”. Such a lazy take. We’re going for a national fcking championship this year and if you think the coaches are just fuckin around bc they can then we have bigger issues. There’s obviously roster and schematic concern, and they’re trying to figure it all out. We’re not Georgia where we can afford to do that shit

No one said they're doing it "because they can." They're doing it to give their depth players meaningful reps, and keep mileage off the starters, which makes sense if you think they're going to play a 15 game season.

And I'd further argue that being "not Georgia" is exactly a reason to treat the first 3 games as a preseason. You don't have draft picks on your 3rd string at most positions, so getting to November and December and January healthy is absolutely critical.

If that’s the case then I disagree with that. This is still a new season which means a new team. I understand keeping your players healthy but at some point chemistry and cohesiveness has to be just as important. And that hasn’t been the case these past 3 games. We’ve played sloppy and I know we have a soft schedule but these games are to work out the kinks and we haven’t really done that

I hate to agree with this, but it's getting pretty late for the guy so early in his career.  Seems he's already been passed by Hall and didn't Cabana get more snaps last week?  He had a lot of promise last year, but one missed cut against OSU looks like it put him back at the end of the line to start over.  What a dog house to get out of with this backfield...

It's none of our business, but these mystery injuries are frustrating.  Will Clemons, Walker, McBurrows and Moore even play this year at all?  Their injuries somewhat remind me of Greene's from last year.

What's up with the deluge of non-game injuries to quick twitch athletes? If it was a systemic issue, I'd expect more WRs to be out too, but this is strange seeing such a high concentration with a specific type of athlete on our team.
