Rumors surrounding Juwan's future as MBB head coach

Supposedly punched an assistant coach.

Downvote me to hell, but he should have been fired after the Wisconsin incident imo. 

I like Juwan, think he's a a success story from his upbringing to where he's made it in life, but there are standards for a college basketball coach well beyond recruiting, strategy, and wins and losses.

Bobby Knight was given a really long rope back in the day because 1) he won  2) things were different (and worse) back then in holding authority figures accountable.  Knight never changed despite how many times he was told to chill or back off, and just got worse and more out of control with success and enablers.

Juwan also, seemingly, is combustable, and folks rarely change.  Will wait for all the facts to come out, but feels like it was just a matter of time before Juwan lost his temper in the team setting during a stressful exchange.

If he was a rage-aholic/serial puncher,  wouldn't decades of work in high stress environments have revealed this by now? 
 
Maybe not, and tomorrow morning, another alumnus head coach will be making headlines and providing internet fodder for embarrassing the U, but I think this would have been apparent by now.

Some calibration is necessary here: rumor mill plus “game of telephone” can easily get out of hand.

Insider noise and Sanderson’s absence seems to indicate something is up. But Howard cold-cocking a staff member is very unlikely, and people should treat such suppositions (is there a sourced report saying that Howard punched someone? Even sourced reports have been overstated, see the football program this year) with extreme caution.

There was probably an incident, and it’s possible that there was some kind of physical scuffle. There are certain permutations of this that can easily cause trouble, bring Juwan’s long-term future into question, and set the rumor mill alight, without being the kind of event described suppositionally in this thread that would constitute an assault.

The truth is probably more complicated, even if it is ultimately not good.

Balas, 247 board, Ant Wright…yep lots of smoke that Juwan is done. Apparently there was some sort of physical altercation he was involved with on Friday.

I thought the basketball program needed a reset…..but I really have no words.  
 

Edit: I had a surgery similar to the one Howard had back in January. It isn’t an easy recovery and I don’t have the stress of coaching basketball. I was wondering how he would do trying to come back from that.

I'm glad Twix is catching on. The original name wasn't good, but it was a brand and they built on it. That wealthy South African dude coming in and thinking he can just build a brand by clicking send on an email is one of the dumbest things he's done, and that is a long list.

If there was an altercation and Juwan, in the wrong, is allowed to travel with the team, I wouldn't blame Sanderson for polishing his resume and seeking work elsewhere.

Either way, after how the "insiders" let so many of us down in the past two months, I'll wait for more official news to come out.
