RR sat Denard because he was more concerned for Denard than for the win

There's kinda already at least two threads about this. And there are more on the "special teams coach" question.
But, yeah, RR did well here. Family values are intact.

We could always bring Bill Stewart in to coach special teams next year. There's a chance he may be looking for a job next year, and this is the position WV promoted him from when they made him HC. lolz.

He still does have a darn good winning percentage and is mathematically in the race for a Big East title.

And pick up Jeff Casteel at the same time. ;-)

...I agree. Despite the witchhunt, he has always handled himself well.
As far as Denard's health, RR has to know Denard's health (and thus effectiveness) is tied pretty closely to RR's empoyment status in AA (at least in the short-term while we are waiting for a Defense to show up). Best to keep him as healthy as possible.
Go Blue!
Go RR!

I hope people keep talking about this. Parents of recruits love this stuff. I hope people give Saturday's win to Tate, it's not easy to walk in cold into a shootout where every score matters and not miss a beat. Well, he missed a beat there on that first play. but thats about it.

That's right. And he should be commended for it. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see The Freep giving our coach credit for this...

HELL YEAH!!!!

... To many coachs have that win at all costs mentality. I took a nasty hit during practice in high school and the coach said he didn't see it, and I should get back in. I never wore glasses before that, now I can't see without them.
