Ross Ade Expected to Sell Out for Saturday's Game
First time since 2008 when they beat Indiana for the Old Oaken Bucket. I don't remember that year though, Michigan definitely didn't play them. Before that, it was 2007 when they started 5-0 (including wins over ND and Minnesota) and a ranking of 23rd (also the last time they were ranked) before losing at home against Ohio.
It's a 4 hour drive from AA to West Laffalot -- Ross Ade is not the worst stadium to watch a football game (they serve beer there now)

Vivid seats has been way better for me, both buying and selling.

Curious, because Purdue has been spouting about a sellout all week:
How many of those tickets sold are expected to go to Michigan fans? I would say at least 30% of the fans in the stands will be wearing Maize and Blue.

I appreciate you not remembering 2008. I wish I could, as well as the Purdue game from that year. Please tell me your secret.

Dinosaurs roamed the earth, dogs and cats lived together, and $5 hookers stood proudly on every suburban street corner.
It was a magical time.
Michigan (if I recall) took a much needed vacation from football that year.

I am pretty amped up for this game. If I were still single, and/or without two beautiful baby girls, i would be hopping a flight for Chicago and renting a car.

That's what I was expecting for this game before the season started. Not so much anymore.

Snagged a couple seats in section 115 for around $50 each. Seems like that's about the lowest they were willing to go. Not sure why Purdue scheduled Michgan for their homecoming game. Seems like a game that would have filled most of their seats anyways due to the fact tha Michigan travels pretty well.

Wonder if Brian Griese has a bet with his Boiler Dad

It's supposed to be around 90 at kickoff. Make sure you're hydrated on something other than expensive stadium beer.

the 4pm start is it should cool off some during the game. It'll be close to dark by the time the game is over, no?

Sunset in Detroit is about 7:30PM. West Lafayette is west by at least 150 miles, so sunset there will probably be about 20 minutes later. Unless the game goes to 8PM, they should finish with a decent amount of natural light in the sky.
You might get a drop of 5 degrees by the end of the game, but the different between 90 and 85 degress is pretty small when you're playing.

Sealed water bottles are being allowed in the stadium due to the heat. Free water stations are placed throughout the stadium concourses.

sealed water bottles are allowed at ross ade regardless of the heat, or at least they were when I lived in west lafayette. We used to reseal water bottles with vodka for standard college shenanigans

Nothing more intimidating than coming out of the tunnel in Ross Ade stadium. Just get through the 1st quarter, boys.

Alcohol would have made it a lot better the last time I went. Probably the most "blah" / large-highschool-ish stadium i've ever been to.

sitting between two PU friends, and i expect it to be glorious. they will probably spend more time in the beer line than watching the game after the 1Q.

Night game.
Grass field.
Ross-Ade Stadium
Purdue is wearing all blacks. Michigan all whites.
And the two teams on paper are fairly evenly matched on offense.
Michigan has a huge edge on defense.
But Purdue has a more explosive, efficient and drive-finishing offense than Michigan does.

Worried ..... really. Air Force and Florida would both beat purdue. Let that set in a bit and then see how worried you are. Statistics only speak the truth if you play the same teams. Every team Purdue has played so far has had an extremely weak defense. Reality and violence are coming there way

First M game I went to was at Purdue with my dad when I was 5. QB was Jim Harbaugh. My daughter will be taking in the sights with her grandfather's binoculars that I used almost 30 years ago. My dad passed away 3 years ago this week. Gonna be a bit misty in section 107 when the Blues Brothers take the field tomorrow.

So I was curious about their Stadium so I looked up some pictures online. It appears that at somepoint in the not to distant past, they had a large bleach section in the open end of the stadium. Based on some 2016 pictures, they actually removed them all save a few ground level rows.
Thought it was an interesting note about the state of Purdue football that they would actually remove seating by choice... for better optics. Now they have a large white circus tent under the scoreboard. That looks much better than empty seats I guess...
