Nice! I will concur with BurleysHalls opinion above that #1 should be permanently retired for Anthony Carter. But Roman getting it for a year is deserving. Besides, he's basically the same size and speed that AC was!

AC was one of those players where every time he touched the ball, everyone in the stadium was suddenly filled with nervous excitement! Only three other players at Michigan had the same effect.

Spectacular catch at Wisconsin in 2021 may have been one of the more impactful moments in this program's turnaround.
There is a very large space between 'hasn't really done much' and 'ain't no Anthony Carter'. Much as I would like to live in a world where all Michigan players had the spectacular production of Anthony Carter.

Some people seem to forget that the #1 jersey isn’t an “earned” thing. That’s just something Carr set up for Braylon to motivate him (and it worked). But we’ve had players since that have worn it without “earning” it. Kekoa Crawford and Andrel Anthony wore it as freshmen.

As a true freshman, Anthony Carter only caught 17 passes. However 7 of them were for touchdowns!!!
These measly 17 catches averaged 27.7 yards!!!!!
