Rivals Rankings Updates

we can compare these to where these guys were?
Cullen was #3 CB or something, right?
Drake didn't have any stars for quite a while, IIRC. Looks like RR found a good one early, if he qualifies.

CC was #6 before this. I think he's #3 CB on Scout. Drake was down in the teens and now is above Nick Hill.

Did White get moved to APB? He's now the #10 APB.

I think he's been there, but I could be wrong.

White was an RB (5.7 Rivals Ranking - #32 RB I believe) previous a Rivals re-rank that took place over the summer I believe. He was then moved to APB and his RR dropped to 5.6 where it stayed until this most recent update, which has him now a 5.7 to Rivals.
Hooray for arbitrary numbers!

Hooray for you remembering all of that!

Not only is Carvin Johnson now a 3-star, but he's a high 3-star with a 5.7 score.

It's fun how he picks up 2 relative unknowns and people jump on it and then it all comes out and even Michigan-and-Commitment-hating ratings services prop them up to almost-4 star status, past mainstays like ricardo and Pace who we know will be a star. It's like he doesn't need the recruiting services to give him permission to take a commitment. What a sillypants.

....what?
December 15th, 2009 at 12:33 PM ^
Nice to see some recognition for our guys. C'mon Tony Drake! Get those test scores up!
December 15th, 2009 at 12:49 PM ^
It would make sense that most players who commit early drop in ranking, over those who are still available for last minute drama and excitement.
December 15th, 2009 at 1:23 PM ^
Yay, he has his third star now we can all stop bitching so much.
December 15th, 2009 at 1:49 PM ^
Unfortunately, I don't think it will stop the bitching of those who want a class of 7 5-stars and 21 4-stars.
December 15th, 2009 at 2:20 PM ^
I want 21 5-stars and 7 4-stars.
Or maybe 4 7-stars and 5-21 stars?
December 15th, 2009 at 2:52 PM ^
Fake 40 times would range from 1.76 to 2.38.

before the recruiting services invented the Seus-like Star Machine to magically make players better. It's like we're living in Sneetch-land.

I'm not too concerned about some of the players being rated low. I think Ricardo has a chance to be a star despite his ever dropping recruiting site stock. Same goes for Jerald. The updates on Carvin have been extremely encouraging and it seems like he could be a good player here in the future.

i'm pretty sure A-White, is better than Nick Hill
