Aw, man.  Because I'm at that sentimental age, I sometimes do a mental rundown of posters who haven't been around in a bit that I really miss.  Blaze is one of them.  It's a small thing compared to what he gave his family, but he gave me a few grins and made me think.  And that is most appreciated.  Thanks for making the world better and a little more interesting, Blaze.

Damn one of the OGs on this board.

As a dad near the same age as Blaze with two young girls, I simply can’t imagine not seeing them grow up. All the love in the world to Blazefire’s wife, son, and family and friends.

Just terrible.

He was a great poster, I had wondered what happened to as him as he didn't seem to post much anymore in the last few years.

He had invited me to a game watch party once since we are from the same town, and now I regret not stopping by and getting the chance to meet him.

RIP to a fellow Bedford Kicking Mule, Toledo Rocket, and Michigan fan, and condolences to his family.

That's awful to see a guy die so young; condolences to his family and his young son.

I know we all act like idiots here sometimes, but behind all the usernames and dumb insults are real human beings.  Situations like this drive that point home.

Life is so unbelievably goddamn precious. We’re all hanging by a thread, man. I was lurking for years before I ever created an account, and of course I remember Blazefire.

Posters like he (him? Where’s Blazefire when you need...him) are what you come to like and then love about MGoBlog — not the daily content, great as it is, so much as the community. They’re similar to the program: they do it the right way. And none of us can beat Ohio State, either. (Ha! Fuck me.)

RIP, sir. Hope the hereafter offers a good cheese course. Go Blue ad eternum.

If there is a highlight of this thread, it is the absolute barrage of posters with a join date of 2008 or 2009.

Blazefire was such a critical part of making this board a destination for many of us.

This is a sad sad news of such a young person.

RIP and my deepest prayers to his wife and son...

Unfortunately, the life goes on like a flowing river.

Oh no!

Tragic, sad news...appreciate your family, your friends, your life; you never know when your time comes. Prayers for the friends and family, God bless you, Eric...
