RDT's Waterloo (with accompanying exile)

Submitted by RollDamnTide on
I don't have a link, but I just read on twitter than for an encore, the Redhot Chilli peppers drummer sang "the victors", at a concert this weekend in C-bus. He then proceeded to drop his equipment on the stage, and then walked off to a chorus of boos. Isn't college football the greatest sport on earth? #soccerisacommunistplot

What's the phrase about dying and being a hero - or living long enough to see yourself become a villain?

Don't stop posting, RDT. We're a good bunch - there's just a lot of butthurt over missing Isaac. It just so happens that scapegoating is one of our most highly-developed skills. It'll blow over. On the bright side, you didn't ever say it was a lock (looking at you, BKFinest).

I hope dude stops grandstanding and just participates like any other poster because I like the different angle. But I have to admit I laughed out loud when he declared the silent commit wasn't Poggi because Poggi wasn't deciding until mid to late June then less than an hour later news spreads that Poggi will be announcing. That was hilarious. RDT you put yoursself on a pedestal claiming sources. That's fine but you had tto expect some to challenge the credibilty if you were wrong. Sack up, take your medicine and continue your contribution. The only thing making you look bad right now is playing the victim. People give each other a hard time on the internet man up and do you. Unless doing you is quitting.

this board also put him on a pedestal.  Everytime he posts, multiple mgobloggers praise him and applaud his efforts - saying it's so great to have an outsider here and his contributions are extremely valued.

But as soon as the guy double posts, he gets nailed to the cross.  Can't have it both ways.  Makes us look like a bunch of schizophrenics and dickheads.  While he does claim sources, nobody is ever 100% correct when it comes to analyzing the decision process of a 17year old kid.

People round here sure are jerks when someone has the audacity to be kind of wrong about some 50/50 recruiting news. Everyone sure looks like a bunch of jackasses. He contributes a lot of good stuff here so maybe everyone should just call down on their e-hater trips

RDT, much like Napoleon at Waterloo, you should have chosen better ground. However, this should not preclude you from posting. One word of advice though... I would get rid of Ney, his incompetence at Waterloo, cost you dearly.

...transgression seems a tad harsh. I understand the backlash because of the embarrassing slobbery praise he'd receive when he posted one of his "Bama insider" posts, but it does seem to me that the negative reaction to this double post is a little over the top.

Then again, so is RDT'S butthurtitude.

Everyone take a deep cleansing breath and reset.

RDT has blown it too many times for me.  He promised us Levenberry, he promised us Garnett and Clinton-Dix, he promised we wouldn't get Cissoko but we did anyway.  But it goes back further than this for me.  In the fall of 2001, RDT's "sources" said I wouldn't get into Michigan.  "Wait-listed, at best" he said.

Well FUCK YOU Roll Damn Tide!  Here I am!

I once started a thread (one of only two threads I ever started) on mGoBlog about Prince Fielder signing with the Tigers.  Someone else had broken the story just a few spots below me.  How could I be so stupid???  How could I offend the community so???  No one cares, it's the internet.  I asked the mods to delete it, & it was done.  We are all capable of carelessness, simple mistakes, etc.  But seriously - it's the internet.  I can't stress this enough!  It's the internet.  Possibly the greatest/silliest invention of all time.
