Question about Dominic Bass, Defensive Tackle prospect from Chicago
I have been seeing Dominic on 24/7 Sports as being 100% to Michigan for a while now but he is not ranked. He seems like a really good DT and comments I have read about him are good. I did a search on MGoblog and did not see much on him. Maybe Magnus could comment on him, or anyone else who knows his story.
All I know is that there are “concerns” and he may have to go the JUCO route. I don’t think he is on the staffs board anymore.
He's not on anyone's board anymore. An early 4 star was dropped to unrated, the lone crystal ball changed to cloudy a while ago (it's not 100% Michigan), he left the school he was at, and there's no events on his 247 profile since May of 2018.
Not sure the whole story there, but he's probably not going to play D1 football next year.

Derek Wilkins is a name to keep an eye on. I don't know that he's trending Michigan, but he's a 4 star from SoCal that Michigan will have a shot with.

Nobody wants to take the gamble and hope that treble doesn't follow him.
So there are academic concerns with him? I was surprised he is never talked about.

Allen Trieu mentioned a while back that he had some issues with his school so they removed his ranking since they don't think he'll be playing at a four-year college next year. Whether those issues are academic or off-field, he didn't say.
