QBs next year and beyond

Submitted by Yessir on

I can't wait for Coach Harbaugh to be knee deep(3 deep) on the depth chart with his recruited QBs.  I don't want to compare, because comparing diminishes someone. Who said that?

I'm just looking forward to the time when the roster has the QBs he recruited on it.

Its possible Speight could be drafted with the lack of talented QBs in the NFL.  He is improving every week. He's tall and I think he'd be drafted after this year if he continues to improve.

I wouldn't be surprised if Peters is our starting QB next year with McCaffrey in the supporting role, maybe 3rd string?  But the year after that and after that and after that will move the team forward with Coach picking the QBs he wants to recruit.

The future is bright.

I wouldn't be surprised if Peters won the job.  That being said, I woudln't be surprised if Speight held onto it, either.  The QB's are going to have to elevate their games next year, though, because there isn't going to be much of a secondary coming back.

All in all, I think the position is in great hands, mostly because of Harbaugh.

I dunno if I think he's going to be good enough to keep. His improvements have been slower this year than rudock's last year. He started at a higher bar but if his rate of improvement continues at this pace I don't think he'll be better than end of season rudock by The Game. I am hoping Peters develops into The Truth by next season.

Well, he kinda needs to for our offense to take the next step. Or he's still sorta injured. Either way, he's doing ok right now. We shouldn't be expecting a Ruddock-to-Rudock trajectory. Jake had an historical in-season lightbulb come on over his head.

O'Korn willl be drafted the following round by the same team that takes Speight.  Their GM will talk about how they've drafted a "proven backup."
