Purdue's Brohm meeting with Louisville
C'mon down Karlaftis

I hope he goes to Louiv. We need big George and a strong finish although i don't think we'll actually get harrison. I think he goes to osu. Crouch goes to clemson. Deloach seems to not be coming here anymore. These are all twitter and blog rumors of course but it just seems that the game really had a negative impact on a few of these players. Gosh i pray im wrong...

The college choices of teenagers isn’t prayer-worthy

Unless you're their parent or they're really good at football.

I live in Louisville and the city is 50/50 split between "he's coming" and "he's not coming" As an outsider looking in, I see Louisville and Purdue as a lateral move. I personally don't see why he'd leave a program where he has something good going to go for a program that's a literal dumpster fire and gave up 50+ to Wake Forest and Kentucky, and has to beat Clemson to make the playoff each year. I think Purdue will do whatever it can to keep him.

The allure of one's alma mater and hometown can be quite strong

Harbaugh gave up his choice of NFL teams to come to Michigan and beat OSU every year for a playoff birth. What's the difference?
November 28th, 2018 at 8:18 AM ^
The difference is that Brohm may actually beat Clemson from time to time.

He also lost a super bowl to his brother.

The difference is that Michigan PAID Harbaugh and gave him CASH for his staff. Lousiville is lowballing Brohm (even going so far as to wait a week, costing staff hiring and recruiting to suffer to save $1M).
The other difference is that Louisville is a nobody in the football world, while Michigan is (and was even though we had a poor ~7 year stretch when Harbaugh was hired) a blue blood.
Michigan gave Harbaugh the AD he wanted, upgraded already world class facilities, switched to Nike, all partially for Harbaugh (a dude like Hoke wouldn't have gotten nearly as much money).
Finally, Harbaugh is just as famous/ more known as the Michigan coach than the 49ers coach (or the Colt's coach, if he went to Indy instead). Brohm won't get that fame bounce from Purdue to Louisville.

Okay, these are good reasons...

Purdue is the dumpster fire of the two. Louisville has been far better since today's recruits have been alive.

Les miles should have waited

While Purdue isn't LSU, it is in much better shape than Kansas to be above average sooner than later.
November 28th, 2018 at 7:39 AM ^
Brohm must be telling them in-person that "Purdue is where I want to be".
November 28th, 2018 at 8:11 AM ^
Going home and dollars talk loudly.
November 28th, 2018 at 8:18 AM ^
"Purdue is where I want to be....Just to be fair though, what kind of money are you talking about?"
November 28th, 2018 at 8:27 AM ^
It may very well be a bit like how Saban loved East Lansing and the community and he wasn't considering going and all that, followed by the usual, "BUT IF I WAS......how much are we talking about again?"
November 28th, 2018 at 8:25 AM ^
Unless they severely increase their offer to him, I don't think he's leaving Purdue. Apparently their first offer to him was laughable.
(please leave so we get Karlaftis)

According to this article, 2019 recruits are being given the impression that Brohm to Louisville is a done deal.
