PSA: Strong downpour and cold winds expected for Saturday night

Submitted by crg on October 24th, 2019 at 6:19 AM

As I'm sure we'll hear in greater detail from our resident meteorologist soon, the forecast is calling for heavy rain and strong (chilly) wind for Saturday late afternoon/evening this weekend - just in time for the UM-ND game!  Fun!

Plan accordingly if you want to tailgate or have a passing offense.

welp...both teams have to play in it, so that is good for us, maybe, shit I dont know

**Don't want to create a new thread for this, but who listened in to MGoBlog roundtable today?  LOL Brian is deep in the mariana trench depths of BPONE and gives zero fucks anymore, sounds like the majority of the non-sense posters on this board now.   Not sure he cares or not, but I could see Sam kicking that segment off the show for good if it just continues to be a sad shit show for 30ish minutes.  Ed and Sam are looking at the positives and providing HOPE to the many listeners to WTKA...you know because we are fans Brian and HOPE our team plays better and HOPE we beat our rivals.

Enjoy the game this weekend while its on in the background, on mute as you say.  Once I had my two kids all this shit was put into perspective, its a game and I'll support the all the teams I love through the up's and the down's.  Grow up dog, you say you have lowered expectations and are fine with it but you just cry and become silent for most of the show.

Look, that one inch in Columbus broke Brian. He hasn't been the same since.

It's one of the hazards of turning something you love into your career.  You run the very real risk of losing your love of whatever it is, and then your job sucks too.

Brian cared a lot, for a long time, and put more energy and time into his fandom in a single season than many people who think of themselves as devoted fans do in a lifetime.  He got broken.  He rolled a '1' on his morale check.

How we choose to respond to that is up to each of us, individually.  I have enjoyed Brian's writing an enormous amount for many years, so right now, I'm treating it the way I would if a friend was depressed; I'm not reading too much into what he says, and hoping that he gets it turned around, because I'd like him to be happy again.

I'm tempted to make an account on one of those gambling sites I'm always hearing people talk about, just so I can take the Under.

And I don't even know what the Over/Under is at right now.

Forecast is trending toward heavier rain.  The latest GFS model shows the heaviest rain moving in around game time.  Precipitable Water is forecast to by close to three standard deviations above the norm.  NWS hydrology discussion states, “Confidence is increasing that the system will produce 1.00-1.75 inches of rainfall CWA wide between Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon Highest precip totals currently expected over the southeastern counties where the best LLJ energy will work through aloft. This same area is also highlighted by a Marginal risk for excessive rainfall by WPC.” Also looking at gust into the mid 20’s.  Should be a fun game.

So they manage to finally get some spread/SiS working and what they need to run is the power game they have been running until this year.
