Predict Kirby Smart's Yearly Salary
I have not a single article about Saban replacements but 4 years ago it was Dabo. With his recent downtrend and not willing to pay to play as much as his peers his shine is off. Kirby has a NFL offensive system - some idiot like David Tepper might throw the bag at him because no credentialed NFL guy is going to go there at this point knowing Tepper will fire him within 8 months. Fleabag like Mel Tucker and Frames are making 10% less than Kirby. Riley making similar money to do nothing at USC.
This guy is going to reset the market - either Georgia is going to break the bank or Bama or idiot Tepper IMO.
I am going $14M a year minimum and I wouldn't be shocked to see $16M+ and upset entire apple cart of college football salaries.

You can’t have two tickets in a row. There’s a refractory period

Maybe

Gonna need that contract to be +80% guaranteed if you're going to sign with Tepper

Pretty sure all NFL coaching salaries are fully guaranteed. Some player brought it up when Josh McDaniels got fired.

50,000,000 Robux and a giant sack of Stanley Nickels.

Or 5 Stanley tumblers

A sack of Stanley drink tumblers would be worth more than both.

No Schrute Bucks though?

I would agree with you, but the pay-the-players movement is coming. I suspect all ADs know it and (in theory) should be very leery of resetting the market in such a dramatic way. I could see $12-13mil, but don't think it will go much higher until the player market is solidified.

Jim Harbaugh gives you a big thumbs up.. as do I!

Tepper speedrunning his way into becoming the NFL's Dan Snyder 2.0 with a healthy dash of James Dolan's love of fans and Jimmy Haslam's patience with coaches/GMs is one of my guilty pleasures to watch unfold. That said, I think he has probably scared off a lot of potential coaches moving forward. He didn't even give his first year coach half a season (with the saddest roster out there) before kicking him him to the curb.
That said, I would be happy to see them to hire Kirby.
Would love to see a vacuum where Harbaugh stays at Michigan and Alabama/Georgia both lose their greatest coaches ever in one year.

This would be a dream come true. Michigan dynasty would be amazing.

Didn't even make the playoff. He'll have to take a pay cut.

Kirby is taking the Falcons job. 6yrs/$72M.

Dude didn't even make the playoffs.

While the football team was pure excellence on the field, board topics have markedly declined in substance post championship. Every fleeting thought seems to be a posted as a topic. Pump the brakes.
