Agreed.  I saw the above post that there were 9 ahead of him and I figured it was crap.  Then I started to see the guys ahead of him and I realized there is some validity there.  Save one or 2 who you could argue Harbaugh beats out easily.  But based on accomplishments recently, I won't argue the top 10.  Come see me in 3 years.  I'll probably have a complaint for a similar list.

Dantonio at #5?  Puh-leeze.  Dantonio is a decent coach.  Maybe even a top-25 coach.  But he benefited greatly from 8 years of blatant self-destruction in Ann Arbor.  Last year, Sparty made the playoffs because they played an OSU team that was so busy thinking about Michigan that they couldn't even bother to bring their "B" game.

And what did all of this get Sparty?  A few nice bowl wins and a bunch of close calls.  Most of all, though, Sparty wilted last year in what is going to be their last chance to play on biggest stage of all.

Next year, Harbaugh will be at #3 and Dantonio will be around #10.

I've got nothing wrong with this list. Harbaugh hasn't done nearly as much at Michigan as any of the coaches ahead of him have done at their schools. You could make arguments for a few of the coaches above him but many of them have been to the CFP or at least have had multiple seasons as good as Harbaugh's one season. Hell, people complain about Shaw but his 2015 was better than Harbaugh's. Give Harbaugh a little time and he'll climb up that list.

Seriously. There is no one who has been paid as much as he for doing nothing. He had two or three good years with Drew Tate and then last year. Although, last season they had one of the easiest schedules ever and they proved that with their last two games.

That list is pretty funny. First off, Bert shouldn't be anywhere near the top 25. Mark Helfrich is overrated. And putting David Shaw about Harbaugh is just scary. CBS has fallen further than ESPN.

Dabo, Shaw, Are no way near top 10... The biggest snub here is Wittenham from UTAH! This guys an amazing coach, once he moves again to a bigger program people w see. Dude was offered like 3-5 jobs this off season alone!

Don't see anything blatantly wrong with it. Most of the coaches ahead of Harbaugh earned their stripes to be ranked that high as well.

There is no way that Merk D'Anthoniois is better than Harbaugh. Jim showed last year that he can beat MSU and out coach him. Everyone with a brain knows it took a miracle for MSU to beat UM last year. Michigan won that game until the luckiest thing ever happened.

Whatever, though. UM is gonna spank MSU this year and I cannot wait.

Dantonio has five 11 win seasons in his last six years.  Harbaugh has one 11 win season as a major college coach.  Dantonio has won three conference championships in the last six years.  Harbaugh never won a conference championship at Stanford or here.  Dantonio went into Columbus without his starting QB and beat OSU last year.  Harbaugh got pantsed by Urban Meyer by 28 at home.    Head to head, Dantonio's team outgained Harbaugh's 386-230 and 20-10 in first downs.  Harbaugh and his team let up before the game was over.  Dantonio and his team never stopped fighting.  That's not "luck".

Only a moron would argue that Harbaugh is a better coach.

Once again a ridiculous off season poll that cant even manage to rank that which it attempts to.  Might as well just rank the top 20 programs over the past 5 years and throw in a few deviations without actually looking at coaching ability.

Is David Shaw really that good if you take away the Harbaugh year players then take away Christian Mccaffrey last year? The man lost to northwestern!
