I haven't been back to Louisville since I finished law school in 2000, but the Granville Inn was always a fun place to watch games.  I just looked it up and it not only looks like it's still there, but they appear to have fixed the place up significantly.  The address is 1601 S 3rd St., just noth of the UL campus.  I'd be pretty surprised if character of that place has changed any in the time since.

Otherwise, there's probably still tons of good places in the Highlands, but I can't remember any of them and wouldn't know if they're still open/any good today even if I did.

Yes, so definitely avoid all of the Amish bars...

Speaking of the Amish, has anyone else seen the Slim Jim ad where an Amish guy in a buggy picks up two kids whose car has broken down? One of the kids looks at the Amish guy and says, "what's it like living without the Internet?" The Amish guy responds, "it's pretty much the same, except I get pictures of your mom in the mail." BWAHAHAHAHA...

was there last weekend, any bar at 4th St live will have it, there will probably be some OSU people wandering around, but you'll be fine at any of the places. I was quite happy with the beers at their local GB

Louisville Resident here.  If you're stuck downtown, go to Sports and Social Club on 4th Street.  Wings are pretty good, lots of TVs and fairly good prices for beer/drinks.

Troll Pub Under the Bridge is decent. It's located on West Washington. Regardless of where you go, it'll be nice because UL plays an early game and it will be done or nearly done by the time kickoff happens so you won't have to fight them or an UK crowd for TV time/ space.

Try Bluegrass Brewing Company (BBC).  They brew their own beer which is decent.  If you go somewhere else and come across a West 6th Street IPA - drink it!

BTW, I have been reading this blog for more years than I care to admit, but decided to create an account to reply to your question since I have been living in Louisville for about 5 years now.  I've never been to 4th street live, therefore all I can tell you about it is that it's not for locals.  Also, if you have the ability to get to Shelbyville Rd in St. Matthews or Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands, you will find many great bars and restaurants.  Have fun.

Has everyone not heard of The Google? I was in Miami for the Final Four game and I used The Google to find the U of M Club of Miami which had a Facebook and web pages which listed events and viewing locations.
