Seriously, you'd think there are enough billionaire alums of these schools (especially Stanford) that they could actually do this. Start a new Pac-? Network and be willing to run it at a loss to keep these programs afloat. It's not really that different from just cutting a big check to the athletic department. Then lure Boise and someone else. You only need six teams to have a league in the FBS.
I remember just a few weeks ago when SDSU was looking to join the PAC-10.

Honestly, if I were the enterprising sort, I'd love to take the reigns of that conference and rebuild the brand. Give me Nevada, UNLV,, San Diego State, Fresno State, NDSU, and SDSU,.I could definitely sell that to a network.

I dunno man. Maybe it’s because I live in the Bay Area that it feels wrong to gloat about cannibalizing 122 years of tradition and the best set of intersectional rivalries, when the benefit to Michigan is murky at best.
