OT: Your Favorite National Sub Chain
I'm sure our beloved Coach Beilein would approve of this topic.
What is your favorite national sub shop chain...and why?
I'm referring to Subway, Jimmy John's, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, Potbelly, etc.
I'm pretty well-positioned to make this evaluation...as I order the same thing (turkey, lettuce, onion, pepper/seasoning, a little oil and vinegar) regardless of which shop at which I'm eating.
My top choice? Jersey Mike's! Turkey is good. Toppings are fresh. I like the oregano seasoning!
What say you?
(this topic was top-of-mind, as I had Jersey Mike's for lunch today)
PRIMO HOAGIES is the BEST and it is not even close. https://www.primohoagies.com/
Mostly in Northeast around Philly but some in Florida, Colorado and Texas.
The absolute finest Hoagie/Sub/Po'Boy/Hero out there.
The key is all ingredients are sliced extra thin especially the Meat. Almost shaved.
For a National Chain, I'd go Jersey Mikes, but one that's missing is Publix! Publix Subs are awesome!
Dibella’s subs are superior to anything else I’ve had
Jimmy John’s has the best lettuce wrapped subs. Not sure how they teach their crew to wrap the meat all up in lettuce so well.
Jersey Mike’s also does good low carb option, but in a bowl.
Pizza Bob's. One store, but nationwide.
The Boss from subway. That is my new go-to. I really liked Quiznos, but the store that was near us closed down. I think the whole chain may have closed.
Im not a huge fan of Jimmy Johns or Jersey Mikes. I think they are both overrated. I like subway better lol.
Penn Station if I can find one. But I don’t think there are any in the Northeast. Maybe there are some in Pennsylvania or upstate New York. Besides them and Quiznos everybody else is just serving cold cuts basically and I can get that at any local deli and don’t really like them that much anyway. In fact, even Penn Station doesn’t really compare to my favorite local deli for hot grilled subs.
