OT: Wife is cancer free today!!
Today is a day of ecstatic celebration as we learned my wife’s recent PET scan is clear and there is no evidence of lymphoma anywhere in her body!
Tremendous thanks to the wonderful U of M Rogel Cancer Center doctors, pharmacists and chemo nurses that brought my wife through and out of the bowels of cancer hell!
Truly Leaders and Best! Go Blue!

Congrats to you, and especially to your wife!! Beating cancer is always worth a Posbang!!
September 4th, 2019 at 5:51 PM ^
Beating cancer requires a patient with grit and courage and a family that is supportive and resilient. Your wife and family have surely met the challenge. And then you need medical professionals of all sorts and where else but U-M Hospital?
Great patient + great family + great medical care = beating that fucking disease.

By far the best thing I have heard all day. Congratulations and enjoy yourselves!

Yay!
My wife's next PET scan is Friday. Although we don't expect as good news (she has second-time-around metastacized breast cancer), we are hopeful, as she has continually exceeded the doctor's expectations ever since being rediagnosed last December.
She inspires me to always try to Exceed Expectations! I'm certain that your wife inspires you, too!
September 4th, 2019 at 3:53 PM ^
Prayers for your wife and your family for good news.
September 4th, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Hug your Wife!
Go Blue!
September 4th, 2019 at 6:04 PM ^
I do, frequently! And kiss her frequently too.
I will admit that her potential impending departure has increased the affection I have paid to her in the past eight months. Cancer does have the benefit of focusing your attention. Not that our relationship needed it, but it has definitely strengthened our bond.

Rendezvous,
My mom was stage 4 when her cancer returned. We enjoyed 14 more years with her before she was taken from us. Here's hoping your wife beats that mark!
September 4th, 2019 at 11:30 PM ^
HHW: I'd settle for half of what you and your family got. That would give us at least a couple of years of retirement together. Thanks for the support and well-wishes, you and everyone else on this board!
September 4th, 2019 at 8:37 PM ^
My mom fought it 4 times. It was the fifth time that got her and it was very aggressive. Cancer sucks.
September 6th, 2019 at 3:09 AM ^
Praying for your wife's PET scan today Rendezvous. Sounds like we are both blessed with wonderful spouses.

Outstanding news!!!
Trying to come up with a sexy wife/cancer joke, but I'll probably need some herbal inspiration, so I'll check back later.

September 4th, 2019 at 5:17 PM ^
I did in fact, thanks for asking! Dr. said no aneurysm, but he also said my brain was perfectly normal and healthy, so I question his judgment and may seek a second opinion
