OT: Who is Albert Breer? (Harbaugh-to-NFL rumors)

Submitted by 1974 on

While we're in a brief quiet period waiting for recruit news, I thought some might find this interesting.

For what little they're probably worth, the Harbaugh-to-NFL rumors are getting propagated on several sites this morning (e.g., CBS Sports). They're all traced to Albert Breer.

Who is Albert Breer? He's a journalist for The Shield (NFL): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Breer

Based on a quick look around the WWW, it seems that he may have a colorful history:

This mug shot looks like his younger self, though the age is wrong:

I can't say for sure that it's the same Albert Breer, but he can't say for sure that there's any substance to the "rumors," right?

Well played. Urban or other rivals could be the source of these rumors for negative recruiting. They will at least try to capitalize on them, and that's cause for at least some discomfort. (Remember when our rivals did the same thing after Hoke's one good season. Seems sadly ironic now.)

Eating too much roasted garlic at once is a very bad idea. The gastrointestinal impacts are too terrible to relate on a family website.

But I'm living them right now, and I'm hating myself.

FWIW Greenie just opined that the Rams, who have a #1 drafted QB to develop, should have JMFH as their obvious coaching candidate. Somthe logic
of LA going after JMFH is obvious. Cant blame anyone for putting 2 and 2 together.

Of course he's not taking the job so the Rams better have plan B.

Btw why do you fire a coach the Monday of a Thursday game? Why not wait to Friday when you have 10 days off? Stoopid iz as stoopid duz.

Jim will not leave Michigan until he does something greater than winning double-digit wins every season (I believe he will retire as the UM coach). There is no chance in hell he leaves going 0-2 (oh wait, he was 1-1 until the refs remembered their "holiday bonus" from OSU) against OSU and not winning at least the east division.

This is my stance as well.  Some of my MSU friends (unfortunate that I have them.. but they are good people) were asking me about it and knowing JMFH's competitiveness, I told them there is just no way he leaves before he wins a BIG championship or two at a minimum.  I think there's also a good chance he retires here as well

The gap is closed as far as I am concerned. UM beat them until you know what happened. OSU is no longer that much better than UM. Talent levels on both teams are pretty much equal. Both have elite recruiting capabilities and great coaches.

Was minister of armaments for Hitler's Germany during WW II.  He was sentenced to 20 years in prison at the Nuremberg trials, and later wrote two bestselling books about the Nazi regime.

Albert Breer, while probably not a Nazi, is otherwise not much better as a person.

Goebbels was Nazi propaganada chief and the big idea man behind the Nazi movement and the Jewish question leading to the Final Solution which for Goebbel's family included the poisoning of his six children and he and his wife committming suicide in Hitler's bunker after taking the Furher's last will and testament and accepting the role of Germany's plentipotentiary leader for all-out war, another idea of his, after Germany was all but kaput and then facing almost certain destruction as its endgame strategy.

No question, Breer is a Buckeye instrument of rumor-mongering. It's in his blood.

Harbaugh to the NFL as their story hoping one time they will be right and they can claim they reported it first. They are dependent on fools like you to help get publicity.

Well done.

URBAN MEYER TO TORONTO ARGONAUTS.

They are guys tring to make the NFL that get paid...like at OSU.

It erases the argument about Meyer style not working with a millionare locker room.

I heard this from a guy at a truck stop (trucker) who has a masters from tOSU sitting on a cooler instead of the using the rest room... wierd huh?

trying to use JH's name to get traffic to his pathetic website page.  It's so easy to to post worthless, unsubstantiated, untruthful crap than doing actual journalism work.
