OT: Whitecaps Game MGoGathering Wednesday
This is the semi-official invite for MGoBoard members who might be interested in getting together tomorrow to enjoy an evening of baseball and beer at LMCU Ballpark. Join us ("BLUE in Rockford" and myself) at the ballpark and also beforehand at The Corner Bar in beautiful downtown Rockford.
We'll be meeting up at The Corner Bar at 5pm for their famous hot dogs and a drink or two, then heading over to LMCU Ballpark (formerly Fifth Third Field) in the GR suburb of Comstock Park for the game vs the Landfill Lugnuts, which starts at 7 tomorrow evening.
Are you old like me and BLUEinRockford both are? Take advantage and get tickets for the game at half-price tomorrow for anyone 50 or older, what they call "Silver Slugger Night". It's also Tigers Colors Night, as everyone is invited to wear their Tigers Blue and Orange.
Finally, there's a bobblehead being given away tomorrow to the 1st 1000 fans in the ballpark, if collecting is your thing. And, of course, there's a ballgame and Torkelson and other future Tigers stars to scout.
Hoping to see some Maize and Blue (and orange too) Tigers fans there tomorrow evening!

Every adult male over the age of 35 wears socks with sandals. It's strictly enforced in the city code under referendum SAS 34.15.

I think it's the opposite - every high schooler under the age of 21 wears white half-calf socks with Birkenstocks. The same demographic used to make fun of people that did this 20 years ago.

I will be at Comerica at least once at some point this summer, just haven't made specific plans yet. Just haven't yet allowed myself to get too excited about the Tigers, but they finally are showing some progress in their rebuild.
And yes, my sidekick will probably be along, she loves sports, just like her grandpa.
