OT- When it rains it pours - Northwestern Fires Baseball Coach
Just one quote from the article.
Northwestern fired baseball coach Jim Foster on Thursday, the school announced.
Foster's dismissal came after allegations of bullying and a toxic environment within the program, sources said.
Anyone on their baseball team worth convincing to enter the portal?
Their baseball team is brutal so probably not.
Half the team is already there because of this asshole. I mean that literally, I think it's 19/37.
And 5 more are out of eligibility, it seems. The article I read says that there are currently 13 players on the team.
Already taken care of. OF/1B Stephen Hrustich led Northwestern in batting average, OBP, slugging percentage and RBIs this season. He is transferring to Michigan.
This is unfair and judgmental of me, but I think this guy looks like a meathead:
Looks like a guy whose profile pic on social media would be a selfie taken inside his truck.
With those glasses on.
And that truck had/ has truck nuts
My first thought was a slightly less heavy (and younger) Jason Brown from Last Chance U from that picture so that fits.
Looks like 75% of our strength and conditioning staff
Perfect representation of the baseball type known for having a “red ass.”
How about this guy?
I didn't know the details of the football hazing until days after Fitz was canned
now I would just like to say- WTF
that's all I got
Chris Collins stands alone...
Or at least is down on all fours alone.
Look for AD Gragg to get the ziggy this week.
If floors could speak, he would've been the first to go.
Never forget.
Holy shit.... the basketball team was actually hazing their head coach on national TV and not only did we not realize it, we were enjoying it!
I'm going to tender my letter of resignation now.
Which not only kinda fits, but places him under suspicion, too.
Hopefully we can get back to clowning MSU screw ups soon. This northwestern stuff feels weird.
The Northwestern AD has had better weeks. I have to believe he's on some thin ice as well.
Actually his presence is itself iffy.
He was hired after their first hire was fired, and he was chosen over 3 qualified women.
I'm sure the Women's Rowing coach is looking over her shoulder 😏
Northwestern fields some great teams in women’s sports - field hockey and softball are solid teams.
They just won a championship in lacrosse too.
NU absolutely dominates W lacrosse. I’m pretty sure they won the NC every year I was there. Seems like they had an undefeated season too.
Yesterday I discovered that Michael Wildon is on the Northwestern Board of Trustees. As is Christine Brennan, a writer for USA Today.
