There was a thing on mainstream entertainment news a few years ago that Mia Kalifa (sp?) only made something like $11 ~ $12K during her entire "career".

Wait, there are other sites?!
I am probably working on lesson plans, watching youtube (Professional Disc Golf), or window shopping at infinite discs.
I've been really trying to not be on the internet as much, but am not having much luck. It sure is addictive. It doesn't prevent me from doing the things that are important to me like work, exercise, or spending time with my wife & dogs. But, I sure spend a heck of a lot of time on the internet instead of doing more productive things around the house. It's hard to think back to how I used to spend my time. I'm not totally sure much has changed as I've never been the best at projects around the house. It has probably mostly just shifted me from using cable TV to internet. But, I think the result is I have way less patience and a shorter attention span. But, I just don't want to pay for cable TV any longer and having to find a show or movie to watch on things Hulu, Netflix, etc. just isn't the same as watching cable was. I have a hard time sitting down to watch much from start to finish without opening up my laptop :/
TL;DR. I hear you on the patience piece.
I see what you did there!
I’m watching Netflix as I’m posting this.
Twitter, sadly.
There's this really good site for people who's fandom knows no bounds and they have a hard time relating to other "casual" fans. You can subscribe to other people's profiles, leaves comments and likes. Some people even make good money on it. It's called OnlyFans.
Bhad bhadie ( the cash me outside girl from dr Phil) earned over one million dollars within her first 6 hours and broke a fans only record. this is when she turned 18 in March. (No I didn't donate) Are you kidding me!?
I'll call your dr phil brat and raise you Jonathan Tesser on LinkedIn. I found out about him from /r/linkedinlunatics on reddit. Bruh fashions himself as a "career whisperer" and expert "content creator".
The reality of it is he stalks 18-22 year old women and calls Indians little yodas.
You have to see it to believe it.
For about two years a country rapper(yes its a thing, no, I don't know why and I don't like his music) lived in our neighborhood with his walking strip club billboard wife. The guy was actually pretty nice and I liked him, but for a variety of reasons wasn't super sad when his lease ran out and he and his family/entourage had to move. Come the pandemic and live shows(his main source of income) going away, something had to be done to make money and so the wife started an OnlyFans page. They had left the neighborhood about six months before this and so the only way I found out was my wife let me in on the neighborhood scuttlebutt as the wife constantly advertised her OnlyFans on her Instagram account(no I didn't follow it, I like being married/living).
Much as I liked the guy, I was glad he left the neighborhood BEFORE they started filming porn.
You would really be bothered by someone in your neighborhood making porn in their own home and putting it online where people pay to watch it? How would that affect the neighborhood?
Explaining this would take too much time and devolve into a dumb culture war argument. So I’m just going to say that in a choice between a neighborhood where porn is being filmed and one where it isn’t, I prefer the latter. I don’t look down on her for doing it, but glad it’s being done elsewhere.

sadly Tik Tok.
I've tried Tik Tok a couple of times but their algo takes into account how long you look at the videos and within a week all I'm looking at is [girls on trampolines]. The second or third time I was able to get a lot of cute animal videos and people sucker punching each other, but then it went right back to women. I had to delete the app.
I will peruse through Politico for national news, though much of it makes me vomit in my mouth. I'll then check the war zone, space.com, NSF, and Ars for interesting stuff. Sometimes I'll sniff through Wired. But other than the occasional surf through FB to check on friends/family (and nothing else - put your political BS on my page, and I block/delete you), I can be found here. Although lately I've been spending more time at the NSF forums vicariously living out my spaceflight dreams via SpaceX's Starship program...
NSF and Everyday Astronaut have become frequent sites for me lately. I've been loving the Starship program to this point. Can't wait to see what happens next, now that SN15 is back on the launch stand!
Next?
I recently read Musk said next stop for BFR is to the moon.
I bet he does that before SLS has its first launch!
Not sure about that... SLS will launch in early '22, but that one launch will be it for another two years. They get one shot to go around the moon. By the time of it's next launch, SS will be landing on the moon after refueling in orbit. I hope SLS gets cancelled before the 2nd stage gets too far, its too much money to waste on an obsolete item.

Thanks for the tip on both those sites. Not sure when I'm going to be able to get back out west, but those two sites will be good for planning.
Ditto. Thanks for the sites. I traipsed over much of the West fighting forest fires but paid little attention to how we got to any particular one, except for a Yellowstone/West Yellowstone fire and another one in the Olympic Rain Forest (where it rained on us as the fire burned).
So going back means re-learning the lay of land, figuring out where the other fires were.
Did you do any firefighting in Colorado?
Twitter, Amazon....those might be the biggest time-wasters form me.
There are a few reptile sites as well that both my wife and I peruse for either supplies or for actual reptiles. The people here that actually follow me on Twitter have even seen photos of some of them. The bearded dragons are probably the best photo subjects as the snakes and geckos tend to hide quite a bit - unless they are hungry, that is.
Not gonna lie. I checked to see if it was a thing.
It's not even parked.
Seesh
There's an opportunity just waiting for you MJ
I don't do facebook or twitter. When I'm not here or working, I'll be checking around on Arts & Letters Daily (it's a real time drain), houzz's Antique Roses Forum, or checking political news on FiveThirtyEight, Politico, or Foreign Policy.
