That was recorded about 2 blocks from where I'm sitting. As far as orchestral football bops... that goes pretty hard.

It's actually not bad! Would have preferred Amazon as the streaming partner instead of Peacock...

Hope this will help with the Edwin Diaz walk-out song that's been in my head the last 2 weeks.

We already have "In the Big House" by Pop Evil. Don't need anything else.

Could I interest you in a gently used Hail and Unite?
August 18th, 2022 at 1:50 PM ^
sounds like the score from a 90s heist movie. Cash acquired, cops ditched, roll credits

Heat 2: Unthawed

NBA 90s theme song is the all time best. Although, "Are you ready for some football" is a close second for me. Grew up with both.
The worst for me is the CBS one at 330 when they start the Alabama hand-job hour. Weird music for football. Very 80s / Ross Gellar on the synth feel to it

This is still my favorite fake sports intro theme song. "Friday Night Football" from The Last Boy Scout. "Gonna be a helluva fight. We got a great night of football tonight!"

That CBS one should have an 80s vibe because that's when it was created. I prefer they don't change that one, like they did with One Shining Moment. They should've rolled out the version from 1989 and never changed it (yes I'm biased).

Ba ba ba ba ba basketball, gimme gimme gimme the ball 'cause I'm gonna DUNK IT! (woo)

I don't know that there's any one part that sticks out, that you can use as a ring tone and everyone will look at the TV to see if coverage is starting. It's nice music, very stirring. I love the drums. But what's the 3 second sound bite portion?
August 18th, 2022 at 2:07 PM ^
It sounded promising for the first 30 seconds or so, but then the drums came in way too high in the mix and just overpowered everything else... The result creates a song more suited to a high school/college atmosphere with a full drumline, as oppose to an NFL Films/Champions League "pinnacle of professional sports" type theme.

I actually liked that overall, although it starts better than it finishes (insert joke about being older here).

You said "insert" huhuhhuhuh

"It starts better than it finishes."
That's what she said!

It rules! Will make me very excited to sit on a couch.

Not great. Still infinitely better than the CBS football music. Those shitty incessant drums give me a headache.
August 18th, 2022 at 5:15 PM ^
At first it kinda sounded like Vampire Killer.

That theme will get me pumped for Jags vs Jets
August 18th, 2022 at 6:11 PM ^
Nice, and thanks Puti. Shades of the "Heavy Action" theme in the 80's with Cosell. In the 90's the theme included exploding helmets then Hank...The good 'ol days.
MNF used to be an event...now its on 4 or 5 days a week.

I'd let her conduct my woodwind, if ya know what I mean. And I think ya do.

Solid, very solid.

It sounds like something from a Marvel movie. Then I googled the composer to see that she scored Captain Marvel.
