OT - Uche with 3 sacks tonight!
Josh Uche had 3 sacks as a Rookie last year with the Pats.
In tonight's MNF game, the Patriots are just about to go final with a win over the Cardinals, and Uche has 3 sacks tonight.
Yes, it's against Colt McCoy rather than Kyler Murray, but still!

UCHE
He (and Judon) was sacking them so hard that he got tired, lol.

He had an INT too.

I didn't watch the game, but the stats don't show an interception by Uche.

I watched the game. I think he means that on one play Uche hit Colt McCoy and that hit caused Colt to float a pass into the air, which pass was intercepted. From one angle it looked like the pass could have been a big play for the Cardinals but Uche's hit changed the trajectory into an interception.

Thanks for the clarification.

That's ten on the year for him. Ten in his last five games, in fact.

Tough break for Murray tonight with likely torn ACL.

They ran a stat saying Uche lead the league in % of pass plays he pressures the QB.

I happened to watch some highlights of the 2018 season earlier tonight. The DL roster included Uche, Winovich, Rashan Gary, Kwity Paye, and Aidan Hutchinson. Pretty good.

If we had had that line at close to full talent with a competent anchor, we wouldn't even have needed an offense. We could have won the national championship by beating every single big ten team 2-0. Only for OSU and a playoff game or two we would need some shut down secondary, which in 2018 maybe Ambry and St-Juste?
I am now visualizing a competent, athletic, speedy version of Iowa football. Gotta toe that line carefully. Still a pass or two to Nico and some good-Moody's, or an average Nordin if that Nico pass wasn't deep enough would probably be enough.

The defense was absolutely loaded even beyond the line, but Shea Patterson put a pretty hard ceiling on that team's potential imo.

You could add Mone and Jeter (who's had at least a brief NFL career) to the list.
Upshaw will be a link from Winovich to Graham and Grant.

Oooh, Uche! Cool.

3* U!
Uche was a low 3* per 247, ranked 700+ nationally as a recruit.
Selected in 2nd round in NFL draft.

Awesome! Would love to see Winovich have some success with the Browns. He got a raw deal with Belicheck.

I watched a lot of it out of boredom and was watching uche after he forced the first pick. I need to reread the OT rules, however

Give us your underrated edge rushers and we'll turn them into NFL stars. I can't wait to see what Ojabo does when he's had Uche's seasoning.

"Emerging is certainly what Uche is doing, as the third-year pro has now recorded 10 sacks over the last seven weeks (six games) of the season — the most in the NFL. After recording just one multi-sack game (and seven total sacks) in his first two NFL seasons, he now has three in his last five games."
"The duo of Uche (10.0) and Judon (14.5) became the first pass rushing duo in the league this year to eclipse the double digit sack mark. Uche credits a lot of his success to his counterpart."

Uche wasn’t the only former Michigan star to have 3 sacks over the weekend. Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham, 34 years old, did so as well in a 48-22 win over the New York Giants.
Graham is a top candidate for the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award, after missing most of last season with a torn Achilles. The team’s Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee is having a blast with his team that has the best record in the league at 12-1.
“Here I am in my 13th season doing this and we’re winning and the chemistry, man, I’m telling you, it’s amazing here. We’re all having so much fun and everybody wants each other to have success and do well and that just doesn’t happen on every team.
“It’s special here with us. You have to enjoy all of it. It’s special.”
