His incredibly high buyout is cut in half if Jurich leaves for any reason.  Petrino is now much more mobile.  Count on him being hired away.

I think he's headed to the Pac-12 or back to the SEC if he can pull this L'ville team together and generate some interest.

There's going to be a lot of movement this winter. And there aren't enough good coaches to go around, someone is going to settle on a guy like Petrino. Les Miles is going to walk into a decent situation (Nebraska if Scott Frost turns it down? Ole Miss to rebuild? Tennessee? Could Arkansas fire BERT?)

I'm assuming he went straight from taking this picture to picking up a case of Keystone Light at a 7-11 then breaking into one of his pizza locations to bake about 12 large bacon, pepperoni & jalapeno pizzas only to wake up 10 hours later with a massive headache and abdominal cramping.

Oh, wait.  That was me last weekend.

Jurich will get another job if he wants it...or I could see him going to work for Turnkey or another search firm that hires ADs and head coaches.

He's a west coast guy...Cal and Washington St. are both looking for ADs. I don't know if he can go P5 right out of the gate though. That would be a tough sell to your academic community. And if he can't go P5 is he really going to go to a school like Pacific? Doubt it. That's where you go work for the search firm and collect your check from Louisville for awhile.

Here are all of the open positions around the country...

That no AD has done more for his school this decade-plus than Jurich. Aside from one bad football hire, which was also iminently understandable at the time (Steve krag, no one improved their school's place in the sports hierarchy. In twenty years, they went from Conference USA to the Big East to the ACC, securing their financial future. No single school did better in realignment than Louisville did, in terms of going from a G5 league to a P5 one that also made geographic and financial sense. Just look at how UConn and Cincinatti have fallen off in both sports since they've moved to the AAC. That he was ultimately taken down because of his best hire's actions, and not from what was assuredly the shadiest ethical move he made, rehiring Petrino, is just the height of irony.

People may not know or remember that John L. Smith was Jurich's first hire.  Jurich was hired to fire Ron Cooper, a no brainer, and brought in Smith to much fan fare and success.  Turns out that Jurich hired Smith again as he's now a special teams adivsor for Petrino.

How much backroom handwringing is going on at the other cheater schools. I wanna see this thing blow back up again. I feel like Im in the minority. There has to be too many congressional or corporate connections that would be exposed. Kinda feels like too many pockets will get light if the FBI keeps digging. I hope I’m wrong.
