OT - Quarantined Neighborhood Flash Mob Dance
Nice job, good effort ??
May just be my browser, but the video won’t play.
Not sure why - I posted on a laptop, but I thought it would work on mobile (didn't on mine either). Here's the link:

Thanks for adding the link. Very funny.
Nice! I gave you a go blue shout out on the original post
Lots of young kids. You must have awesome block parties.

We do have some awesome block parties. This was from a water balloon toss at the end of the block party last summer. There's a dunk tank behind one of the trees. We miss Ann Arbor greatly, but love our neighborhood.

Horrible view!
great song, neighborhood and video. wherever you live, it must be much further south. we've had snow off and on for days, not sticking too much, but 30 degrees as a high and a non-stop 10-20 mph wind would've made that a tough film project.
the music dropped in and out, was that a browser issue or a production issue?
The audio was just from the car speakers recorded by the phone (pretty low tech), and it was even quiet to dance to - but still more fun than we can have most days.

well it was very good. if you don't mind my asking, where in general terms do you live, SE michigan? further south than that?

I’m actually living in Utah now (which accounts for the infinite kids on our street - 33 in total).

we're big on kids here. utah is beautiful. can see that pic you posted above of the back area. took mrs. XM fly fishing there along with one of my investigators years ago. returned about 10 yrs ago to pick up a van that i had converted to 4WD in salt lake. brought a couple of the kids and we fished for days before heading home.

This neighborhood looks identical to my sister’s in NC. I always hate on her suburban lifestyle, but man I really wish I had her McMansion and yard and kids and dog for this quarantine. Don’t think her neighborhood is friendly enough with each other to coordinate something like this, so kudos.

That was awesome!!! So many natural dancers but I may have to go with the lawnmower/sprinkler combo. As a guy who knows those moves well.

Lawnmower guy reminded me of my dad. The brief glimpse of the finger covering the lens reminded me of me. I do that on half the videos I take.

Definitely jealous of the amount of similar aged kids on the block. Our block is much more diverse and thus we don't have as much naturally in common with most neighbors. Some retirees, some young families, some in the middle, etc.

This was outstanding! Please do a video a week!

Great video and thanks for sharing! It's good to know that white people's inability to dance has nothing to do with age or location. It crosses all demographics and lines on the map. Cheers, it looks like you all had a blast!

My take-aways:
- I found your family
- One mom has had choreography lessons
- Lots of families have that one kid at the age where it's lame to partake lol
- One child may or may not be in the KKK - total joke, but I saw a pointed white hood from a child behind an object
I think that was a shark in the “ocean”.
Thats awesome! The kids are really cute.
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing gronostag. Your son has good taste in clothing.
I have really enjoyed my time home with my 15-year old and 6-year old sons during the quarantine. We would be into something like this. It's good to see groups of people willing to be silly, look funny, and make everyone smile during a serious global pandemic. Well done.
Ahh this is great. I knew it was Utah as soon as I saw your family with 6 kids, confirmed by the fact that every other family had 3 kids. LDS families are so great at building communities wherever they go, but 3+ kids for every family on the street had to be Utah :-)
Far cooler than I expected it to be. Nice neighborhood too. Was that 6 children you have?!?! Jeebus. Also, are we no longer worried about shaking babies?
1) That was awesome.
2) Holy cow, there are a ton of kids on that block!
that's cute, glad people are having some fun, esp. all those kids(!)
Utah is a beautiful state.
LOL at grumpy "get off my lawn" guy mowing instead of dancing
He was mow-dancing!
That would be an awesome neighborhood to grow up in. So many kids to play with. Our neighborhood is generally older, so my kids don't have anyone to go and ride bikes or play ball with like I did growing up. That won't be an issue in your neighborhood.
Great to see. Thanks for sharing!
