OT: NFL helmets with local college team colors
lol at the Bears in Depaul colors.
They should've gone with U-Chicago colors since they had a football team.
Same could be said for Illinois
that the Jets got stuck with Rutgers while the Giants got St Johns
were once decent in basketball.
Does Rutgers still have a team? I'm not so sure.
Someone has way too much time on their hands...
Jaguars is atrocious and the Dolphins is...the same?
I actually think the 'phins helmet looks better with the green instead of teal.
It looks like the lowenbrau logo.
I kid you not. Had to look it up on wikipedia.
looks sharp.
Panthers/UNC is another sharp one, but the Saints/LSU is the best of the bunch
Well, if the Lions wear the Michigan-ized helmet with the "Rynearson Field Gray" color rush uniforms, that would just look.....weird.
Also, the Cal version of the Raiders helmet......no.
similar to the "split format" Maryland helmets.
The Raider helment is a classic. it would look worse in any other color scheme. The Cal version is a criminal offense.
Denver Broncos + CU Buffs = Western Michigan got it
The Falcons picked Red & Black because they were UGA colors. The 1966 original helmet had a thin gold stripe to pay homage to GT
.
George Halas decided to make the Bears colors Orange and Navy, after his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
As an aside, I grew up in the Atlanta area and knew about the Falcons-UGA connection, but didn't realize they had the gold stripe the first year. Learned something new!
Most teams with two programs in close proximity got both colorways. MSU was just left out.

it was going to be kind of stupid, but after clicking through them, some of them looked pretty cool.....Others not so much...
Not too bad.
The good ones are:
Vikings
Saints
Colts
Dolphins
Titans in UT colors
Cowboys in UT colors
Seahawks
the Washington team
Falcons
Bucs
Panthers in UNC colors
Eagles
The Benglas and Browns are unchanged from the NFL team and the college team respectively.
