I think the only really surprising part of this is that Dantonio did it to Ohio State.  I thought he loved that place.  It's where he came from and always seemed to have a deep respect for them.  You know, like if Michigan beats Ohio State he may actually be offended.

Any coach can offer a kid any time he wants to; it's not as though extending an offer to a kid while he's at another camp is something illegal or scandalous. Mark Dantonio doesn't have to ask anybody's permission to offer, and neither does Harbaugh.

Trying to make this into something controversial is like Joe Tiller's whining about a nonexistent "gentleman's agreement" in the Big 10 after RR got Roundtree.

I think this is a funny move. Great move actually. I don't like saying nice things about the guy but it's a give credit where credit is due sorta thing. The first nod is that fake punt he called after taking the five yard penalty to give his punter more room to punt, I think against Notre Dame. Hate the guy, but damn that was coaching genius right there! And lastly, must be a slow news day.... Go Blue!!!

has picked up a few commits that osu was wavering on. It's a decent strategy to offer guys who are at competitors camp trying to earn an offer. Especially if the offer doesn't come at the camp. Sorry for using decent in regards to dantonio.
