OT: MSU offers 4-star OL while he is AT Buckeye Camp
http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2015/06/matt_brockhorst_michigan…
Apparently the timing of the offer by MSU to 4-star OL Matt Bockhorst was intentional while he was attending OSU's football camp.
I read this and had mixed emotions is this common practice or pushing the envelope?
Why is this on an M board?
I think the only really surprising part of this is that Dantonio did it to Ohio State. I thought he loved that place. It's where he came from and always seemed to have a deep respect for them. You know, like if Michigan beats Ohio State he may actually be offended.
Maybe Dantonio has finally accepted that he isn't going to be hired by OSU any time soon.
Any coach can offer a kid any time he wants to; it's not as though extending an offer to a kid while he's at another camp is something illegal or scandalous. Mark Dantonio doesn't have to ask anybody's permission to offer, and neither does Harbaugh.
Trying to make this into something controversial is like Joe Tiller's whining about a nonexistent "gentleman's agreement" in the Big 10 after RR got Roundtree.
