Friday the 13th part 2

The ButterCream Gang in Secret of Treasure Mountain 

 

Tie is Toy Story (all 3)

Can't say the sequels are any better than the first but it's tough to have a sequel as good as the first.  This trilogy definitely holds par all the way through which is a feat in and of itself.

I'd argue The Karate Kid II is better than the first.  If not better, just as good.  III is crap.

Which leads in to another topic: Worst sequel of all time.  Based on how good the first movie was, I'd say Boondock Saints II has to be the worst follow-up to such a great first movie.  Thoroughly disappointed watching the second installment after the first was so badass.

-American Pie > American Pie 2

-Home Alone > Home Alone 2

-The Rocky's are all good from 1-4.  Then things get shady.

-The Harry Potter's get better over time and then slightly worse at the end.

-Empire Strikes Back, Godfather Part II, and Terminator 2 are the best sequels.

-Lastly, Scary Movie 2 > Scary Movie
