OT: Little Caesars Arena to be new Detroit arena name?
This article is a couple months old and I didn't see anything on here, so I figure I'd share. It's kind of interesting.
It has been definitively confirmed that naming rights to the new Detroit arena have been sold.
CrainsDetroit, an area business site, reported that the domain name "littlecaesarsarena.com" sold for five figures. This purchase apparently took place two days after Chris Illitch said the naming rights have been sold.
The name of the arena will be revealed this month. I'm kind of bummed as the Wings were the one Detroit proper team that abstained from a corporate-sponsored arena.

if it really becomes Little Caesars Arena, I'll just call it the LC. "Going to the LC for the Wings game"

I haven't been paying much attention to the development of the new arena, but I am kinda bummed by this. Calling it "Little Cesar's Arena" makes me think of the Bowl game no football team wants to be invited to. I grew up on the pizza, no issue with the brand, but idk Illitch Arena would've been better than giving it a corporate sponsor name. Illitch Dome?

Could be that the name of the practice/youth rink that is also going to be part of the new facility will be named Little Caesars Arena. Seeing how all of the youth Little Caesars teams will be playing ouf of there.
Tiger Stadium, Lion Stadium, Piston's Palace.
