Granted, it’s Matt Leinart’s son, and the offer is far from binding, but still. I’m truly expecting a fetus to get offered some day, solely on the basis of superior genetics.

Fake news. Matt Leinart was on one of the afternoon radio talk shows (Sirius XM CFB channel) and clearly said it wasn't true. It was a cool thing for Kiffen to do - as a joke - for his kid. There is no actual offer.
Edit: Matt denied the offer was an offer on Thursday afternoon.

Leinart was my nephew’s QB Coach. Matt said that he wouldn’t let his own son play tackle football until high school...so funny/typical that Kiffin offered him a scholarship.
