Yeah if you bothered to stop and read what I said, I made no connections or similarities to KD and Howard's game. It was simply about adding another superstar to the Laker's roster, like what is happening with KD to the Warriors.

At some point you do have to wonder if there will be disagreements, with that many stars on the team, about who the offense should flow through. One of those guys is going to get pushed down the totem pole, and it may, MAY, lead to chemistry issues.

But hey, if that's a bogus take, I'd sure like to see what you can share from your infinite wisdom about what isn't a bogus take.

The core group... Yzerman, Lidstrom and Fedorov were all drafted by the Wings. They got players like Shanahan (Primeau, Coffey and 1st rd pick), Chelios (Eriksson and two 1st round picks) and Hasek (Kozlov and 1st rd pick) in trades, but it's not like they got them for nothing. The free agents signings of that era were… Krupp, Verbeek, Duchesne, Hull, Robitaille, Olausson, Joseph, Whitney, Hatcher etc. Most of those players were past their prime (including Hull and Robitaille) and not exactly superstars when they got here. If the Wings had signed Lindros or Modano in the mid 90s, then you could compare it to the Durant situation.

Stephen A. is preaching!! Talking about much of a weak move it is by KD. agree with him 100% "jumping on the bandwagon" have lost all respect for him.

He owed nothing. I cannot blame him for going to GS. The guy wants to win a title. He and the Thunder were ahead 3-1 against the Warriors and still could not get it done. That right there likely convinced him the best option to get a title is the Warriors or Cavs. The Cavs were not going to be able to sign him, so he went with GS. Like it or not, the next three or four finals will be the Cavs and Warriors.

I agree he didn't owe OKC anything, though at the same time had he played a bit better up 3-1 this wouldn't have been an issue.

But he can go wherever he wants.  It still is a bad look to basically admit he couldn't win with the elite team he had so he has to play with the team he couldn't beat himself.

Look at the way they left.  Lebron James with his television special to announce that he was jumping ship.  Kevin Durant just left, informing OKC management shortly before posting notice.  Free agency is a thing, and I don't understand why Durant is being villified here.

Who says he lacks the courage? This isn't war, it's the NBA where guys make $20 million+/yr. If he wants to display his courage maybe he can do so in a creative way like doing his own food shopping or cleaning his own house. Why in the world would you not go where you have the best chance to win a championship if that's what's important to you? Do you think reading bullshit from people like you and the press all over the country is a pleasant thing? So clearly he had the courage to endure this, does that still make him a coward? Your stance makes absolutely no sense and by pasting the definition of the word you actually hurt your own argument

could not agree more. why blame someone for wanting to work with the best? Who in our real lives doesn't want to work at the best company in our respective industries? the whining that is going on is ridiculous. let the man go where he has earned the right to choose to go.

The problem is that Lebron did the same thing and went to a team that was not close to winning a championship and people hated him. What KD is doing is worse. He went to a team that one last year and was 5 minutes away from the second. This is horrible. He just dropped of my top 5.
