OT - Harbowl connection to Cleganbowl (PLZ CONFIRM/Spoilers)
warning - if you do not watch Game of Thrones and are into it to the extent that you've discovered the Cleganbowl theory, none of thise will make sense.
Apparently the origin of Cleganbowl was derived from 'The Harbowl' when Jim faced his brother - http://www.businessinsider.com/game-of-thrones-cleganebowl-fan-theory-2015-5
People have been converting non-believers to the Cleganbowl Faith on r/Cleganbowl ever since - https://www.reddit.com/r/cleganebowl/
amazing GET HYPED video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTjBVsKbHQQ
One last thing to CONFIRM though - does Jim watch Game of Thrones? Does he know the connection?
getting a head start on it - JIM KNOWS, 100% FUCKING CONFIRMED.
GET FUCKING HYPE
How can you not have heard of that? Do you just avoid all GoT content online? It's been discussed pretty much everywhere.
none of them are confirmed, they are just speculation. Why do people read previews to football games? It is really no different.
Do you actually think that's no different? There's literally no way you can spoil a live sports game unless you can successfully time travel, but whatever.
Also, even though they aren't confirmed, the theories seem to be pretty consistently correct. For example, John Snow coming back / red woman, Lyanna Stark thing certainly seems like it's trending toward being true, etc. etc. There's literally no way a preview
people believed Melissandra was going to resurrect Jon Snow because she was in Castle Black where he was lying dead and she has F-ing magic. It did not take a genius to come up with such a "theory."
You're right. I'm a moron for not guessing the end of every plot thread. Thanks bro. Care to finish the series for us right here and now?
you saying that 1) you are a series regular, and 2) you did not see that coming a mile away? If so, wow.
Wow indeed.
you also surprised when things went poorly for a teacher with a DEA agent in his family who started cooking Crystal Meth out of an RV? Did that one come out of left field for you also?
You're really fired up here eh? Relax, man
I don't think you're a moron for not guessing what will happen.
But by the same token, how can you get mad at other people who do just GUESS at what will happen? No one KNOWS what will happen, so it's not a spoiler of any sort.
But I will go ahead and ruin the series finale - Dany and the Night King end up making out and taking over the world together...Fire and Ice indeed.
In OP's defense, although CLEGANGEBOWL IS 110% CONFIRMED, it is just a theory (like gravity and natural selection).
The next time you get hammered out at your favorite watering hole and you are told to walk home and someone grabs your keys and hides them from you. Try to walk all the way home and not fall down there is NO way you will make it without getting your pants dirty or in the case of summer and you unfortunately are wearing shorts your knees bloody. I woke up one time after walking home a couple miles and found my sheets all bloody the next morning I thought I may have been shot or something I could not remember where I had been, anyway sorry thats when I proved to myself that beyond any doubt gravity does indeed exist.
What surprise? It's a theory. The Hound isn't back...
yet.
You're kind of making the argument against yourself here. It is a theory, not a spoiler. Nobody knows, as there are no confirmed leaks about it.
What is hype may never die.
I only thought The Hound was still alive because they never showed him die. I thought the same about Stannis, but then they confirmed it, or did they?
Some guy ruined a big spoiler for me on another site. He specified the episode so it hasn't happened yet, but I really hope he was just screwing with people.
John Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rheagar Targaryen.
may be a Targaryen as well, though this is admittedly more of a stretch.
Yeah, I've always thought that was a bit of a stretch.
if you look back at it through that lens, Tywin did say some very curious things to him rather frequently.
buy that. That to me is the one that jumps the shark. I can buy into the Tyrion chatter a little bit though. Tywin's outright refusal to even consider Tyrion as an heir to Casterly Rock is particularly curious, as he obviously respects the customs and laws of the seven kingdoms to a certain degree, or he would have simply removed Jaime from Kingsguard at his leisure when he was Hand.
He could have accepted Tyrion "publicly" as his son to avoid embarrassment to himself personally while knowing full well that he had no Lannister blood.
I don't think there is any question that a couple of these are going to prove true.
I buy that Tyrion is a Targaryen. That is why a certain thing didn't harm him when he removed its leash in the bottom of the temple. (Doing my best not to ruin things for people.)
3 Dragons
3 Targaryen children.
Jon, Danny, Tyrion.
Mother died giving him birth
Mother died giving her birth
Mother died giving him birth
only death can pay for life...
but I don't think tyrion is a targ...
Tyrion is the time traveling baby that Khal Drogo and Dany should have had.
that would be some serious shit from Bran if he could pull that off.
I don't think it's a stretch at all. I think it has to be true.
up until two months ago I would have believed that theory... now I don't.
i don't think benjen stark will be coldhands in the books... I think that tv combined two characters...
I do think tyrion is a targ, especially since dragons didn't eat him...
I also believe:
the red viper was poisoning tywin lannister
the storm in the north is because there is no stark in winterfell, and there will be something dragonlike in the crypt,
jojen paste is real, frey pie is obvious, southern ambitions and the northern conspiracy (book only), Bolt-on theory, sam has the horn of winter, there will be a 2nd red wedding, ramsey wrote the pink letter (not stannis or mance), faegon, Alleras is obvious as well, the hooded man is no one we've met so far, Jamie is the volonquer, and bloodraven started it all...
so there are some theories for you.
my favorite is the Bolt-on. I don't care what the show did to him...
I've read and reread the series alot... I've also actively read thetowerofthehand.com
of those theories I only have a couple I developed on my own and the majority are online discussions I've taken sides on...
Bolt-on is one i came up with on my own before finding likeminded individuals... I also noticed the storm up north immediately.
I forgot to add that Shaggy dog is a dead give away that rickon will be a shaggy dog tail... another one I immediately recognized...
frey pies, tyrion as a targ, and tywin being poisoned are something so obvious I am embarassed to not have picked them up on my own...
jdon
It's like reading a foreign language.
How do you misspell "Cleganebowl" so many times when you provide a link spelling it correctly?
he probably didn't eat enough chickens
For me this was like reading hieroglyphics.
It's not coincidence that this thread was posted on Donut Day. Theories abound in the Game of Donuts. Harbaugh. Donuts. Bacon. Maple. Psuedopsychologists. OT. OT. Donuts. Harbaugh. Bacon. Bacon. I have absolutely no idea what is going on here. I know more about the skit Game of Game of Thrones from Saturday Night Live than I do about the actual show.
Zach Galafinakis dressed as a dragon FTW.
I'm going to say it: I've watched every episode of the series, but I can't tell you anything about anything. I find it so completely dense and complex that I just basically sit and go "oh, there's that guy again... OK." I just don't have the energy to invest my time in figuring out about 8 twisty-turny storylines all going on at once.
Not that it isn't enjoyable.
