OT: Goodbye Ron & Fez. one of the best radio shows ever
This is way OT but as someone that has Ronnie B as their profile pic and his "tagging" name as my profile name I had to make a post about this great show coming to an end today. Over 20 years these two have provided smart, funny content and along with O&A has always been one of my daily listens. Goodbye Ron and Fez and thanks for the hilarious radio all these years. #Cakehorn for life.
I still think it could be a work. I certainly hope so. Wish everyone the best though. Really great show and I was so shocked to find R&F fans on here. Pleasant surprise.
47 years with The Big One.
-Mike McConnell is taking over full-time.
Add "one of the best radio shows ever" to the ever expanding list of things in popular culture I have NO clue about and have never heard of. It used to be just "best songs ever" and then it became "best TV shows ever" and now it's expanded to "best radio shows ever".
If my ignorance on popular things ever reaches "best beer ever" I think I'll call it a day.
Wait til you hear about podcasts
My top five podcasts:
- Jay and Dan Podcast
- U Talkin' U2 to Me?
- Solid Verbal
- Marek vs. Wyshynski
- MGoBlog podcast (hey I know my audience)
The Basketball Jones would still be on there if they had kept the old format, that one was hilarious. Really got me into the NBA for a few years.
The Bill Burr Monday Morning Podcast is hilarious as well.
So here's a GIF of a monkey stealing a banana
Now Fez has time to soak up all that sweet dong he's been missing out on all these years.
Bring back Dave
Loved Ron & Fez. Ron Bennington has to be one of the greatest interviewers and I'm surprised he never got a bigger platform. He has a way of getting artists to drop the facade. I haven't really listened much since Eastside Dave left though.
Thought you were talking about these guys...
DREW & MIKE FOREVER!!
O & A is unlistenable. I don't know what's entertaining about them. A good fart joke, no matter how low brow, has 100x the entertainment value O & A has ever put out.
O & A are offensive just to be shocking or offensive -- what I have heard them isn't even offensively funny, like a Chris Rock or Lisa Lampenili.
