OT: Favorite Uniform ... of Another School
The last thread was about which UM color combo you liked best. This thread: which other team's uniform do you like the most?
This stupid site put the Oregon Ducks first, but we all know UM is #1 when it comes to the overall uniform. So, who is #2?
I almost want to say the Fighting Irish in home blue with gold helmets, but to hell with Notre Dame. What do you say?
UCLA...I was a big Ed O'Bannon fan back in the day.
USAFA - especially the helmet - but I also went to a lot of their home games as a kid for a few years.
Navy, when they have the anchor on the helmet.
Other than that Trojans or Seminoles.
I love Navy's uniforms as well! I don't like the fact that they have bought into uniformz for the Army - Navy game....it's been getting a little out of hand.
Ucla home unis
I thought the girls at Red Bank Catholic had pretty good ones when I was a kid. As a student at Red Bank High, they pretty much drove my young glandular self bananas. When Cathy Tierney agreed to go out with me I was in heaven.
I have always been partial to the University of Washington color palette of gold and purple. I was more fond of their older helmets that just had the big purple 'W' on the gold helmet.
The Huskies are my 'unofficial' second favorite team (great uniforms, great stadium location right on the Sound, great school location in Seattle and I love Siberian Husky dogs for good measure), I wish that they were joining the Big 10 rather than USC and UCLA, two programs I dislike.
Same. I'm also a Laker fan so am partial to purple and gold color schemes and the campus location is at worst top 10 most gorgeous in the country.
If it's any consolation you might soon get your wish about U Dub joining the Big 10 though
I also have a soft spot for Washington. Great university, beautiful campus, fairly rich history. I wish we had taken them instead of UCLA, and I hope they eventually find their way to the Big Ten.
Tulane white helmet and white jersey on blue pants is probably my second favorite uniform right now.
Their helmet with the angry wave is definitely the second best helmet in college football im my opinion.
I love the Tennesse orange.
Washington, LSU, USC, UCLA, Penn State, Texas
I've always like both Tennessee's and UCLA's home uniforms.
*in football.
I'll vote for ND for the second best classic uniforms, I'll vote for Illinois for the best alternates, whoever designs their custom helmets always crushes it. I, for one, cannot stand USC colors. They look like ketchup and mustard to me, and when they do red shoes and yellow socks they look like a team of Ronald McDonalds.
BYU and TX. Sharp dark colors against white, and excellent helmet decals as well.
Princeton. Orange and black, with the winged helmet, which Fritz Crisler brought to Ann Arbor from New Jersey.
i prefer simplicity. penn states uniforms are top tier. bama too though psu colors are better. ive always liked georgetowns hoops uniforms, particularly the older grey ones

Texas all whites
and as a rule, any uniform that limits itself to two colors and does not for e a third and fourth cooler in there, is going to look good.

For home football Texas is my favorite classic home uniform aside from ours. A new favorite though is Tulane - they look great in all sky blue with green stripes, but they change it up and have some other good combos of those colors too
I love the Ole Miss baby blues, ND's away, and I think Virginia has nice looking uniforms, absent the orange, as well.

Miami (YTM) orange jerseys. Looks great with whatever shade of green that is they use, and I like how the colors evoke the school's location. They feel like sunshine.
In-state honorable mention to the now-defunct Central Michigan maroon jersey/gold pants/spear logo helmet combo. MAC daddies make you jump, jump!
"Michigan...manage a difficult color scheme (navy blue with bright yellow) so well you don't even notice it's an objectively bad combination."
WTF?
Blue and yellow a bad combination? Objectively?
Because they are primary colors? Certainly a better combination than blue or black and orange, etc.
What could they possibly mean by that?
Does Delaware count?
Personally, I like two-color schemes better than single color and white.
Off-hand, besides Florida State and San Diego State (and I have to admit admiring ND's green uniforms with the plain gold helmet), I like Iowa and Kansas State's football uniforms: copies of pro teams, yes, but with the helmet logos, I think they look better than the uniforms of the pro teams they are are copying [and I say this as Steelers and an apostate Cowboys fan].
I've always liked Georgetown basketball jerseys.
