OT- Favorite Karate flick
On this Father's Day I thought about my uncle. He was a strong father figure for me while I was a kid. He introduced me to UM football, Savage Sword of Conan comic books and karate flicks. 3 of my favorite Karate flicks are Super Ninjas, Shaolin vs. Lama and Ninja Scroll (animated). What are your favorite Karate flicks, MGoBlog?

I'm far from an expert, so I can't claim, only ask, but beyond the names themselves, the style behind karate versus kung fu movies always seemed very different to me, yet this thread appears to categorize them as 'same.'
Maybe it's not sacrilege, but is that normal?
Iron Monkey
Ip man - 2008
Ip man 2 - 2010

Would link, but am link illiterate. Hands down best fight/tourney sequence starting at 29:00 on youtube.
Also the scenes where he kicked Mel Gibson's ass in Lethal Weapon 4.
Assuming that Wuxia films also count, I'm going with Hero.

3 Ninjas? I think that's what it was called? The three kids of a FBI guy and their grandpa gave them masks and nicknames? I liked that when I was a kid.
Power Rangers FTW!

Kung Fu
Kung Fu Hustle is well worth the time investment.
Crouching tiger and rumble in the Bronx are excellent also.Anybody remember Thursday Night Prime on HBO? I used to watch that shit religiously as a teen.
Oh man, I just watched 3 martial arts flicks last night, they were Ip Man, Jet Li's Fist of Legend, and Kung Fu Hustle, 3 of my favorite

Ah, Bloodsport and Kickboxer. Two sides of the same coin, although Kickboxer did leave us with this little gem of a scene...
