OT: Clash of Clans

Mods can delete whenever. Pointless post but oh well. I'm a level 77, almost maxed town hall 8. Looking for a clan to join, so if you have one, drop the name and I'll look into it.

After trying this game, in Genuinely curious how this game is so popular? Completely dull/mindless gameplay and graphics from 1995. The only thing it seems to successfully do is feed on people's addictive personalities

You really took the Kate Upton bait on this? She's about 30 pounds overweight in all those commercials.

Has Kate Upton reading terrible scripts and walking around in outfits a size too small. Clash of Clans has Liam Neeson in the Super Bowl ad, and generally used animated advertisement historically. And is also better.

So people aren't supposed to critique a supermodel for being fat?!? I mean, isn't that really the only thing expected of her in life?

Would you give an engineer a pass for being poor in math?

Because calling engineers bad at math totally creates body image issues in young girls. Plus we all know engineers have historically been discriminated against by valuing them solely on a single dimension of their personalities.

Wanting it in your head? Totally fine, you can think what you want.

Posting it on a public forum? You're being sexist. Calling a woman fat is a value-laden statement regardless of her employment. And calling a model fat (who is clearly much more fit than the majority of the american population) is enforcing a culture of negative body image that destroys young women's lives. MGoBlog is better than this shit.

You're still wrong. If there were an overweight male employed as a supermodel, I'd call him fat as well. People like you are the reason most women think it's acceptable to become obese after the age of 25.

It doesn't matter if YOU would call him fat, too. Women and men are objectively treated differently by society. Some studies estimate that up to 75% of women 25 to 45 have or have had psychologically diagnosable eating disorders. The number for men? Less than 7%.

And there's a difference between becoming obese and keeping yourself at the level of fitness at which Kate Upton has kept herself. It's people like you that create unrealistic body expectations that lead to thousands of young women committing suicide.

Because there was nothing sexist about it. I expect a supermodel of any sex to be physically fit, because it's part of their job. The fact that you continue to argue it after clear evidence of being wrong is obfuscation.

Saying "I clearly won" after I specifically rebutted what you said is not how you win an argument.

And "not fit" in the context of being a supermodel and "overweight" are completely different things, not that I think either is completely appropriate in this context.

Dude... just let it go now... You didn't make your point and now you're nitpicking the defference bewtween not-fit and overweight.

Being pedantic doesn't help your position; just shut up now and go fabricate an injustice somewhere else.

Mods should have deleted this entire conversation hours ago. The inability to recognize that calling Kate Upton fat is an issue is disgusting.

If I'm wrong about that, send me to Bolivia. I'll do my time willingly.
