Their lamb burger is quite good.
Never tried it, but I will now! Thx
Mikette
either the one with foie gras
or “le big mec” with bacon and fried egg
Roy's Squeeze Inn, Ypsi
Casey’s
Casey's is probably my second favorite burger in AA besides Frita Batidos, but probably the best traditional burger
frita batidos for something a little different - their chorizo burger is amazing, or knight’s or casey’s for more of a standard burger. red hawk is also good
Frita Batidos is up there
The Revel and Roll peanut butter and jelly burger is damn good. Don’t knock it till u try it.
The McDonald's off Ann Arbor-Saline Rd near Meijer
Not going to lie, you cannot go wrong with a Dave’s classic double, Quarter Pounder w/cheese, or. Whopper.
Whoppers are special. Best traditional fast food item around.
Has that Mcdonald's improved any? Because when I was a dead-broke undisciplined cashier at Meijer who needed to buy bad fast food for lunch its food was bad even by those low standards and I could easily blow an entire lunch break waiting in the eternal drive through lines. It was so awful I stopped going there and started visiting the TB on State.
What I mean is, it was bad even by the low standards of Mcdonalds.
Recently it has been unseated by the Burger King on State st. I have been cornered to eat there on numerous occasions due to time and it makes the Mickey D's look like Tavern on the Green.
i know i'm late, but have we all forgotten about the white castle in ypsi, or did it close?
Got Burger - Ypsi
I’ll be up at Fritz Park tomorrow afternoon grilling some burgers and Brats. Stop by.
The older I get, how you feel after is just as important, if not more important than taste.
/jk - you are right though.
I really like the Revel and Roll burger at Revel and Roll
Frita batidos. Some may tell you Blimpy, but it is too greasy.
Ashley's is also a classic and closer to campus. Blue tractor is the well-renowned BBQ restaurant in town, but it will have good burgers for you too.
Check out Diamond Jim Brady's on Main St for great burgers.
The Bad Axe is a damn good burger.
Blimpy’s will always win in my heart for the novelty of their approach and nostalgia for yesteryear, but the Bad Axe burger at Diamond Jim Brady’s is probably better.
Honestly though I’d probably skip the burger and go Mr. Spots for a cheesesteak.
Not the best in town, but the burger at ABC (I think it was called the Arburger) was great back in the day.
Frita’s
Arburger 10000% it is amazing
Dimo’s
this thread is reminding me that I have not been back to Ann Arbor for several years. very sad
Kobe burger and 2 am burger at Grizzly Peak are both solid.
Steelhead Red is a damn good red beer too. I recommend getting drunk on that after eating the burger.
I stop at Good Time Charley's once a week for the Jaybird. One of the best bacon egg burgers I have had since moving out of Holland and no longer being able to go to Goog's. Waffle fries are always good.
Frita Batidos and Blimpy Burger
If you can be liberal on your definition of a burger, Frita Batido's will run away with the prize.
Blimpy!!
On gamedays I would say ME!! I get so many people that walk by my spot at Lindys on Scio Church and gaze at my burgers. Let me know and I will make them on the game you are there and you can taste the greatness of my 3 in thick steakburgers that some call Meatloaf on a bun because they are so big!!
Go Blue!!
Sounds like a generous invitation!
Fritas by a mile. Honorable mention to Jolly Pumpkin for their truffle fries
There are honestly like 10 places on Main St that have a burger that I would rate 8/10 or better nowadays. Just pick a spot, order a beer, and start picking out toppings.
Very true, I was thinking the same thing. My daughter was in a burger club in Ann Arbor, and they went to a bunch of places. All of them great. It’s like a beauty pageant, every one of them is pretty darn good.
Dan’s Tavern in Saline
That was Rich Rod's favorite place to get a "little burger" Newbomb Turk style.
No love for Hunter House? Why eat 1 cheeseburger when you can eat 4 and feel like Andre the Giant.
Out of bidness.
Best of limited options:
Sidetrack in Ypsilanti for a good bar burger
Zola bistro on washtenaw for a higher end burger
Kobe burger at grizzly peak downtown for a in between
My favorite is Casey’s burger with cheddar cheese, mushrooms and bacon. The steak fries are always cooked just right and the onion rings are delicious.
For a great-beefy-tasting traditional burger AND outstanding atmosphere, Knight's on Dexter near Maple simply can't be beat. The new location on Liberty near State ain't half bad either. Added bonus: the drinks are strong. Like twice as much booze/pour. Decidedly old-school. Order a whiskey.
For the life of me I can't figure out all the love for Fritas. It's like eating a grease blop and their drinks are weak like Ukraine.
Mmm....Ukraine burger.
You gotta go to the Ukraine for burgers still? Thats a long drive.
