Haha I'm the one that always tells people they can't apply the transitive property in sports...but I think we can at least note that the Beavers are in a big transition, starting a freshman, in our house. We will be fine.

Ruddock looks much better. peppers snags his first INT OSU QB picks up some key 1st downs with his legs, allowing them to hang around. UofM wins by 10, and people complain.

21-17, Michigan. This game will be more of a struggle than I hope. It will be a victory, but will cause us to rethink the speed of improvement over last year's team. Rudock will have one int. People will argue who is at fault. Someone will complain about Shane playing more.

Michigan wins something like 24-13. Our offense still looks a little shaky. Rudock cuts down on the picks but has a stat line of something like 175ish yards with a TD and a pick on 65% completion percentage and 6.5 YPA.

Smith and Isaac combine to rush for 150+, but mainly based on volume. A lot of rushing attempts on a decent YPC.

Defense looks pretty good again. Good run D, but they get some yardage on QB scrambles and a big pass or two due to lack of pass rush and poor secondary play. Minus those few breakdowns the secondary looks passable though.

38-13. Rudock throws for 200-250 with no Ints. Isaac leads us in rushing, and the d-line wrecks havoc. OSU's QB will be the only reason they score 1 TD

I'd say you run like you have one of those jumping spiders in your pants because you're quick and hard to catch.  Also keep up with the good work on the eating garden thing.  Pretty neat stuff.  Do you grow Eucalpytus per chance!?!??!?!??!?!

Well technically, if you has poop in your pants then you'd probably run like you had poop in your pants.  However, it is still possible to have poop in your pants and fully just embrace it and accept your pants are ruined and run like you don't have poop in your pants.  Basically I'm saying he runs angry and quick in short bursts, but not super fast.

We will beat them by two touchdowns.

If we come out firing and playing together through out the game and starting out with a great start but they do have an ok defense but I feel we will pull it off this Saturday.

38-10. Rudock will throw two interceptions which gives them a short field to score 10 points. Morris will come in when it is 31-10 and lead a well managed touchdown drive in the 4th quarter leading everyone to call for him to start.

Oregon State gave up 406 ypg last year and they lost nine starters off of that defense.  They depended entirely upon their passing game and they lost their QB too.  Their QB is a 2* true freshman and last year their running game was approximately 2013 Michigan in its quality.  That to me means that Oregon State will be the 2010 RichRod defense combined with the 2008 RichRod offense.  This should be a cakewalk for Michigan, which is why it terrifies me that we are only 14 point favorites.  If we can't cover this weekend then it is time to panic.  I'll go out on a limb and say that we barely cover -- 27-10 or something like that.

I hope you're right but it is my experience that Vegas is uncannily accurate when it comes to predicting this stuff. This is especially true for spreads that at first glance seem wildly off.  This is one of those games.  Despite dropping our first game my initial gut instinct would be to make this one a 24-point spread or somewhere in that range.  If we were on track for a halfway decent season then that is what I would expect.  That Vegas sees us only beating what will probably be a terrible Oregon State team at home by 2 TDs is scary to me.

I don't know if it's a giant blow out but I don't think you guys are threatened at all.

Maybe something like 31-13.  I'd say you score more but I don't like your run game right now and I think it slows you down.

Michigan wins 31-17. Gary Andersen scares me a bit when he has a mobile QB, like what he did at Utah State with Chuckie Keeton. Good thing is we'll be getting Collins in only his second game, his first road game, three times zones away, and the rest of the Beavers aren't all that threatening.
