Old Fashioned "Night Games Open Thread"
September 4th, 2021 at 10:44 PM ^
The boos are starting to rain down in Seattle.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:44 PM ^
Meanwhile, our 3rd week opponent, Northern Illinois, blew a 14-0 halftime lead at Georgia Tech and now trail 21-14 with 2 minutes left in the game.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:58 PM ^
Rocky Lombardi looking like Peyton Manning. Just drove NIU 75 yards in 2 mins to score TD and converted the 2pt try - on a controversial fingertip catch. Huskies up by 1 with 9 seconds left
September 4th, 2021 at 10:46 PM ^
Washington looks like total dog shit.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
Montana just looks like the better team. O-line is pushing the Washington D-line three yards downfield at the snap.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:56 PM ^
Washington's D misses their man Pete Kwiatkowski.
I'm glad the game next week with Washington is at the Big House. Hope it's packed again!
September 4th, 2021 at 10:51 PM ^
Illinois' going to lose to UTSA at home. This does NOT help Scott Frost nor Scott Frost's mom!
September 4th, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
I thought a win over UW would get UM back in the top 25, UW doing their best to spoil that.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:55 PM ^
Even if UW comes back and wins they likely drop out of top 25
September 4th, 2021 at 10:53 PM ^
Michigan might have 800 yards rushing next week
September 4th, 2021 at 11:35 PM ^
I thought UW’s defense looked really good early until they realized their offense wasn’t doing their part, and then they just let up.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:55 PM ^
LSU defense focusing on Charbonnet, and leave things thin elsewhere. A guy breaks free into the open the other way---TD!
UCLA is for real.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:59 PM ^
Or is Coach Ed just a flash in the pan one year head coach who got lucky with Burrow and Brady at OC. I mean ZC is talented we know that, but LSU's defense was also atrocious last year. Probably a little of both, UCLA is better and coach O is just not a very good coach.
September 4th, 2021 at 10:59 PM ^
Woof. Giles Jackson drops the 4th down pass, and it looks like UW is going to need a miracle.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:00 PM ^
Maybe the Washington coach asked Mork Dorintoni how he used to prepare for Michigan by sandbagging against awful teams just so they couldnt have any good film to go off of, and then attack out of the weeds without Michigan suspecting a thing.

prediction for next week: 28-7 Michigan
September 4th, 2021 at 11:01 PM ^
My wife is a diehard UGA fan. I told her multiple times tonight that as far as football is concerned, I envy her.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:03 PM ^
Why would Montana do that?!
September 4th, 2021 at 11:03 PM ^
Montana’s D must have a literal grizzly bear seeing what they have done to Washington statistically. My confidence level for next week is sky high. I am a fan, and I can say such things.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:04 PM ^
It's one game for Washington, but this is what internal-hire-to-replace-successful-coach disasters look like. Very bad second-year teams.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:06 PM ^
I mean, Moller and Carr were pretty good
September 4th, 2021 at 11:10 PM ^
Not sure what your point is. I didn't say those hires never work.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:21 PM ^
Sorry, thought you were making a broad point that it is usually a bad idea to hire internally. But yes, this one is looking pretty ugly
September 4th, 2021 at 11:06 PM ^
Illinois is making things interesting against UTSA…
September 4th, 2021 at 11:07 PM ^
Anyone know what the in jury to the BYU player is?
September 4th, 2021 at 11:09 PM ^
Based on his religious affiliation- a hypertrophic god complex would be one guess.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:07 PM ^
Welp, I was hoping UW would provide at least a little better barometer on the level of optimism we should have for this year, turns out it won't mean jack shit.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:10 PM ^
It's a night game and the big house will still be rocking. Had we beaten a 1-0 Washington team, the pollsters wouldn't have given a shit anyway. Just win.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:13 PM ^
Nah, disagree, pollsters like putting UM in the top 25. A win if UW looked good tonight would have definitely put UM in the top 25. It's less about the polls and more that even if UM hammers UW it really won't tell us anything now though.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:07 PM ^
Interception!!! LOL. Game over. Wow. I really thought Washington would be better than this.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:07 PM ^
Sooooooo.....I guess the million dollar question this week is, can our defense play as good as Montana's?
September 4th, 2021 at 11:08 PM ^
That was just a grisly performance by UW.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:11 PM ^
Meanwhile, Rocky Lombardi led NIU to a comeback victory over Georgia Tech.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:13 PM ^
ILOLinois.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:15 PM ^
The fighting LOLini
September 4th, 2021 at 11:14 PM ^
Illinois managed to catch their hail mary but out of the back of the end zone.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:16 PM ^
Vandy getting their clocks cleaned by East Tennessee State. Didn't they just get a new coach?
Sorry, Vlad.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:18 PM ^
LSU fans are cringing right now
September 4th, 2021 at 11:19 PM ^
LSU's QB with a no look behind the back pass attempt...wtf. Now I've seen it all.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:19 PM ^
Gotta say, I’d never seen a QB throw a no-look behind-the-back pass before.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:20 PM ^
Poor little road runner never bothers anyone
September 4th, 2021 at 11:20 PM ^
LOL the LSU no-look throw away pass!! Holy smokes!
September 4th, 2021 at 11:20 PM ^
I mean it didn't end in disaster but that might have been the dumbest throw I have ever seen a QB make.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:20 PM ^
LSU's QB just did one of the dumbest things I've seen on a football field. I can't even describe it.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:22 PM ^
How did he get away with that? Pure luck it didn't turn into a pick six.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:26 PM ^
It is, at best, the second stupidest thing I've seen this weekend to the 100 yard pick six UCF threw yesterday. College football is the best sport.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:24 PM ^
Charbonnet didn't get used in the 3rd qtr until just now. I think Chip Kelley was saving him for the 4th qtr.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:27 PM ^
One conclusion I have drawn from the first two weeks is that I would have liked to see a version of him coached by Mike Hart. Seems like we'll be OK at RB but yeah.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:29 PM ^
Yeah, crowded running room, but would have liked to kept him. Somehow OSU can hang onto their recruits - would be nice if we could too.
September 4th, 2021 at 11:35 PM ^
May have been great!
September 4th, 2021 at 11:26 PM ^
Hate to see that injury, hope the kid from BYU is okay.
