Ohio State has started selling LeBron James “alumni” basketball jerseys
This is hilarious and one of the most OSU things ever. “Hey, lets sell jerseys of a player who is not only not an alumni, but didn’t even play college basketball!” I guess we’re allowed to start selling Michael Phelps shirts and Derek Jeter baseball jerseys now...
Merry Christmas everyone

Typical Ohio
December 26th, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
It's almost as bad as using Michael Jordan branded gear when he went to North Carolina.
December 26th, 2019 at 10:24 PM ^
Yeah it's the same.
Fucking moron.
December 27th, 2019 at 10:02 AM ^
You do know what a "brand" is, right?
December 25th, 2019 at 8:04 PM ^
I'm sure it will sell out fast
December 26th, 2019 at 5:28 AM ^
Yeah, I hear they're selling like hotcakes...
December 25th, 2019 at 8:04 PM ^
Well, he's apparently spent as much time in the classroom as Justin Fields, so why not?
December 25th, 2019 at 8:06 PM ^
Or any other buck nut.
December 25th, 2019 at 8:13 PM ^
This will offend the women and children.
December 25th, 2019 at 8:15 PM ^
At least if Isaiah Todd decides to go overseas this means we can still sell his jerseys
December 25th, 2019 at 8:15 PM ^
That's even worse than us having Michael Jordan on our jerseys!
December 25th, 2019 at 9:37 PM ^
That's the dumbass response my wife made.
Michael jordan created a brand.. putting lebron's last name on osu jerseys isnt a fucking brand you dumbass... osu is acting like he played at osu when he never stepped on a college court ever and they are trying to profit from it. Clearly he is making some form of a cut I'm sure.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
And you have a Merry Jordan Christmas too, dumber-ass.
I posted my earlier comment knowing I'd get downvotes, but not expecting some bully hiding behind a keyboard to hurl childish insults.
I fully understand the brand-recognition thing going on with the Jumpman image and how (when it was unique/exclusive to U of M, anyway) it was a bit of a net plus in getting athletes to look our way. My personal response to it, though, is that I refuse to purchase anything bearing his logo. My choice.
But as for you and your response, that's OK, you do you, I'll do me. And, may I also add, kudos to your lovely wife for her obviously intelligent viewpoint, she's no doubt the brains of the family.
Could you please take your medication for whatever is up your...
December 25th, 2019 at 10:25 PM ^
Dude....I’m sorry you’re having a rough Christmas....you read like a person who is miserable af.
December 25th, 2019 at 11:03 PM ^
No, I had (and am still having) a wonderful Christmas, especially considering being the "dumbass" I was informed that I am for making a snarky comment about Michael Jordan.
My kids got me a new non-Jumpman Michigan long-sleeved zippered pullover and a Michigan-logo wireless Bluetooth stereo headset (among other things) for Christmas. Not only that, but after spending the night at the home of my daughter and her husband, I woke to the aroma of a delicious breakfast and bourbon pecan coffee this morning.
How could I possibly be having a rough day?
December 26th, 2019 at 2:09 PM ^
Lebron has his own Nike logo, just as Jordan does. At least Lebron is from Ohio and a fan of the university. Michigan is just whoring off of a guy who won a National Championship in an entirely different school/conference.
December 25th, 2019 at 9:54 PM ^
I have to assume anyone who notched about Jordan in our jerseys is 50+. It’s great for recruiting, which is pretty much all that matters.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
Don't you think having LeBron's name associated with the program (whether deserved or not) is great for OSU basketball recruiting?
December 25th, 2019 at 10:42 PM ^
Cue t[tm[OSU slappy response.
On time and on point. Carry the water for your crew.
December 26th, 2019 at 9:03 AM ^
Depends on whether said recruit wants to play skool or not.
December 25th, 2019 at 8:22 PM ^
December 25th, 2019 at 10:49 PM ^
So all OSU fans will buy them?
December 25th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
Maybe he took an online class? Don't be such a hater.
December 25th, 2019 at 9:48 PM ^
Apparently the only kind of class at OSU. I just logged into their school site and ended up with a master's degree after clicking around a bit. Pissed off because they said I can't hit an undo button like I can in Microsoft word.
December 25th, 2019 at 8:27 PM ^
So we can assume that MDen is now selling Kevin Garnett Michigan jerseys?
December 25th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
I was just going to say that!!
December 26th, 2019 at 11:01 AM ^
Being that Garnett is my favorite NBA player of all time, I need that
December 26th, 2019 at 2:37 PM ^
Yeah and you get a free ticket to that Adam Sandler movie. . .
December 25th, 2019 at 8:43 PM ^
That's quite pathetic.
UM should start selling the "oh let do it" guy's jerseys because if he HAD qualified he'd have been at UM
December 25th, 2019 at 9:03 PM ^
This is why I refuse to take shit from OSU fans (or any fan for that matter) for being a Tom Brady fan. OSU fans that I’ve talked to have said Brady succeeded here in spite of Michigan (Whatever the fuck that means), and that if Brady didn’t do the things he’s done in the NFL, we wouldn’t give two shits about him now. That second part might be true, but it’s irrelevant. Same logic could be applied to LeBron if he went to the league and flamed out. At least Brady chose to come here. He played, he won, and he left his mark on this program.
James didn’t go to OSU, but OSU sure acts like he did and that OSU means more to him than any of his NBA titles. James didn’t go to college, and even if he did, he sure as shit wouldn’t have gone to OSU. He would’ve went to Duke, Kansas, Kentucky or UNC for one year and then left. The guy is a mercenary, and he’s proved this twice already. He’s the greatest player on the planet, I won’t dispute that, but OSU is not any kind of special place to him. This is just to keep up appearances with all of his sycophantic followers in Ohio.
I don’t care that OSU chooses to do this. That’s their choice, and if people buy the jersey and OSU makes money off of it, then it’s a smart move for them to do it. But then don’t trash Michigan for exploiting its relationship with Brady.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:12 PM ^
Not that I have a strong opinion either way, but the argument is that Tom Brady, the best pro QB (arguably) to ever play the game, was only a 6th round pick, and that only through Bill B's system was he able to flourish. It could be that Carr temporarily botched his development, or it could be that he was a late bloomer. I do know that Joe Germaine, OSU's QB at the time Brady was starting at UM, had a better college career (and was drafted two rounds higher).
One might argue on a much smaller scale that Michael Thomas could be a similar-ish case.
December 26th, 2019 at 9:40 AM ^
There's no "arguably" about it. He IS the greatest QB to ever play the game. He's got the rings to prove it. There may be QBs who are better than him in individual areas of the game (I've never seen a more accurate QB than Brees, just as an example), but when you account for the game as a whole, he is the best.
No one else comes close. It will be a long time before another QB gets even close to six rings. Much less attains and surpasses it.
December 26th, 2019 at 1:01 PM ^
I mean, way to miss the point dude
December 25th, 2019 at 10:52 PM ^
Yep. The dude has already left Ohio twice to pursue championships elsewhere. He clearly couldn't give less of a shit about Ohio.
December 25th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
They should sell Joe Burrow jerseys too, he just took his talents to cajun country
December 25th, 2019 at 10:27 PM ^
I seriously wouldn’t be shocked if they started selling Burrow jerseys
December 25th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
OK ... let's pretend Lebron James played school at OSU ... the tooth fairy is real, right ?
December 25th, 2019 at 9:44 PM ^
Not even the greatest to wear that number. I think he regrets not playing college ball a smidge. Good.
December 25th, 2019 at 9:53 PM ^
Shit pig farmers. Have you ever met an OSU grad that can't say oink for OHio ?
December 25th, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
So how do you get a degree from The Ohio State University ? Just graduate from some shit Ohio high school as everyone gets admitted. Oink !
December 25th, 2019 at 10:27 PM ^
Academically OSU is a wasteland. Nobody wants to go there unless you are some Ohio kid who has no other choice but community college.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:30 PM ^
I hate OSU with every fiber of my being, but even I’ll admit that it’s a decent university, especially at the graduate level.
I even got my MBA at Michigan next to some Ohio State alums, and they were bright and great, but they still sucked.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:41 PM ^
Ross admits are not what we are talking about. Run of the mill OSU students are dumb fucks, especially the football crowd. They barely meet college entrance standards.
December 26th, 2019 at 5:22 AM ^
dayum; yooza a jaynius
December 25th, 2019 at 10:28 PM ^
That is, as Shaq would say, “horawful”.
December 26th, 2019 at 9:27 AM ^
My understanding is that Jeter actually did enroll and take a few classes. He just ended up going pro before playing for the team.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:26 PM ^
May as well - several other OSU star athletes never took classes there either.
December 25th, 2019 at 10:40 PM ^
why not? he went to class about as frequently as any other athlete enrolled there.
