Even Crazier than Liverpool's win yesterday! down 0-3 on aggregate in the second half and then Lucas Moura gets a hattrick with the last goal coming at the fifth minute of the five minutes of stoppage time! Wow! Best two days of Champions League Football of all time.

Poor damn Ajax. Just 10 more seconds and you would've gone to the final. Instead the stupid ass Spurs are gonna go. (Let's go Liverpool!)

It's gonna suck to see all the Ajax players in Barca colors next season. Wish they had the funds to keep the team together. Oh well. 2019 soccer for you.

Secondly, teams really gotta trust their players and keep playing the same way. Putting in extra defenders and parking the bus never works in these situations it feels like (unless you're Chelsea).

Actually, Ajax's folly came from continuously chasing a goal despite having the tie wrapped up. Their style is one of permanent attack and, instead of steering away from that, they were attacking until the end. If you watch the replay of the first Spurs goal, de Ligt is up near the box on a set piece and gets nutmegged by Danny Rose before a long pass leads to the goal. De Ligt also got caught playing up on Llorente 30 yards from goal, pinching up aggressively, which allowed Moura and Dele to run through gaps in the D, creating numerous chances, including the winner.

Yeah, I think it's totally incorrect that Ajax parked the bus.  I couldn't believe how aggressively they were counter attacking to try to go up another goal.  They weren't stalling.  They weren't really just clearing it.

I disagree that de Ligt was out of position on that last play, though.  It was a long ball and he's one of the best in the world at winning those. No way you'd rather have him sit back than try to win that and end the game. Give Llorente credit for the funky box out move on him.

The absolute killer was the defender marking Dele Alli fell down so it was an easy flip in front to Lucas.  That slip cost them the game.

Here is the last goal, although it is far more impressive when you watch the build up over the last five minutes.  Spurs seemed to be dead in the water even with 9 seconds left.

It is called soccer in many parts of the world:  http://i.imgur.com/2GHdRDg.jpg

Article on soccer versus football is here:  https://brilliantmaps.com/football-vs-soccer/

"While England uses the term football, many of its former colonies (e.g. Ireland, Canada, Australia and South Africa, etc.) use the term soccer. This may be because the term soccer in England was widely used until the 1970s, when it switched, in part, because it was viewed as an Americanism."

I thought maybe you meant the SA Spurs, but no ... apparently it's a soccer team? Don't know, and don't care and don't know why this is on this board.

I thought you maybe had bone spurs, OP.   I hear they're pretty painful and was prepared to offer you thoughts and prayers.
