As reported by Wolverines Wire (Link).

He's they younger brother of Patriots OC Josh McDaniels. McDaniels has been QB coach at Denver, and WR and OC/QB coach at Rutgers before this. He also had offensive analyst positions at Denver, Tampa Bay, and Chicago at points in his career.

Comparing Shea to Speight? Are you fucking kidding me right now??

In Speight's abbreviated 2017 season (3 games) against the poorest competition on the schedule Speight was 44 for 81 (54.3%) and 581 yards and a QBR of 22.9.

2016 (12 games) Speight was 204 for 331 (61.6%) and 2538 yards and a QBR of 75.1

Patterson was 188 for 289 (65.1%) and 2364 yards and a QBR of 84.1 in 2018.

Speight's passing efficiency 2016-139.8 (2018-126)

Patterson passing efficiency 2018-154.3

Speight was never the same after Iowa and Patterson is even better than pre-Kinnick Speight.

The freshmen did as they are apt to do. Perry seemed like the same guy maybe worse. I think he was fine coach but he’s known as a mediocre recruiter and probably wasn’t going to be very helpful in innovating the scheme.

New coaches are usually fun because you can imagine them fixing all the problems.

Last year the WRs had a GA coaching them, which was completely stupid for such a young group of guys. This year they had an experienced position coach AND a GA (with more experience than their last one) and another year in the system.

How much of their improvement was actually McElwain, rather than just being less young with better coaching?

I loved the Jim Mc hire and he earned a chance for another job. I don't think he was going to be here for long. CMU has had a good CFB history. Jim did well at CSU then bombed at UF. Good luck to him and thanks for the improvements to DPJ, Collins, etc. He earned this hire.

Brady still wears a mid-90s style Riddell helmet that has a 1 Star safety rating. It is on the banned list starting next year. Brees also sported this helmet until this year, but transitioned to a Speedflex. Brady trying to be grandfathered with this helmet.

It shocks me that Aaron Rodgers is allowed to wear the cloth chinstrap still as well

Not sure how much say he’ll have in the passing game. But for a bowl where motivation may elusive, it may be nice to have someone coaching receivers who’s auditioning for the role

What do people expect?  The internet is a series of tubes connecting all the computers in the world, maybe the universe.  To re-route all the tubes and then superglue the joints back together takes time my friends.  Be grateful you can read the musings of the Michigan fanbase.  There is nothing more pleasurable than reading people of good will writing stuff like "You're a damn Troll"; "no, you're a Troll"; "no, you are, fucka!"  Great stuff.
