Observation on the PAC trophy presentation

The PAC commissioner (Kliavkoff) is not well liked by just about every faction within their conference (for those unaware, he has a large portion of responsibility for the final collapse of that conference after USC & UCLA had already announced their departure).  Whichever team won the game was unlikely to give him a warm reception.

So, when the time came for the trophy presentation, he was announced by the MC (Holly Rowe from ESPN), he took the trophy, handed it to UW coach DeBoer with a forced smile, and sank into the backdrop quickly... all without saying a single word to the audience.

Maybe a show of what we could see tomorrow (not just in the Big Ten game, but possibly the ACC and Big XII games if FSU and Texas win those, respectively)?

My observation is that the trophy has been commended as being strongly vaginal which bothers some men. The word itself makes some men uncomfortable. Vagina.

I envision a situation where Pettiti hands over the trophy, shakes Harbaugh's hand and Jim looks him dead in the eye and asks, "what's your deal?"

Yes, I know it was Pete Carroll who said that to Harbaugh years ago, but I think this would be apropos.

I hope Michigan takes the stage to celebrate, but then just ignores Petittee.  And I hope the team members all make reference to the BS in some way when interviewed.  Why the players?  Because Harbaugh, Manuel, and Ono will not.  They will stay professional.  The players don't have to.

I want Peteetee to feel the discomfort.  I want him to look visibly uncomfortable.  I want the entire nation to see the uncomfortable look on his face and recognize it for what it is.  I want him to look so uncomfortable that the SportsCenter hacks feel compelled to comment on how uncomfortable he looks.

No way, Larry Scott was 95% responsible for the death of the pac-12. He put all the chips in on the pac-12 network and ESPN was going to throw him a lifeline halfway through and he double down and rejected the offer.

Larry Scott was responsible for much of the problem, but the PAC was still a viable entity when Kliavkoff took control.  They had ample time to plan for the future of the conference in a post-USCLA world but he did not show the necessary vision, initiative and command to keep it together.  The moment USCLA announced their intentions, Kliavkoff should have been preparing to raid someone - anyone - to keep the PAC from being the low man on the P5 ladder.  Instead, he allowed the erstwhile moribund Big XII to gain the initiative and put themselves in a better long-term position.  Yes, many of the PAC schools had wandering eyes after USCLA, but better leadership could gave kept them together.
