The NFL has been making mistake after mistake over the past years. Deflategate was a small but symbolic example of the arrogance and incompetence of Godell and his team. This is just another example of a player saying fuck you to the league. Who ever thought it would be Brady to be a leader of that parade.

At the most, it should have been a $25,000 fine (as set by the collective bargaining agreement.) The charge itself was based on bad science, bad internal politics, and bad journalism by ESPN. The only thing that gave it legs was the video-taping scandal. But then again, we live in a society where facts and science are meaningless and only predjudice matters.

Anyone who debates the scientic merit of Deflategate is missing the point. It wasn't bad science or bad politics, it was the Patriots telling Roger to go fly a kite and Roger's response as the Iron fisted dictator that he is. It was not about deflating footballs to gain a debatable advantage, it was about lying to the Big, Bad Boss Roger.
