Noon game thread

Starting since one isn't up yet.

First play from scrimmage in the Wake vs UNC game: ball carrier has ball ripped out as going down - almost identical to last week's strip sack controversy.  Ruled fumble on field and replay official determines ball was out before shin made contact.  Fun.

I don't know if anyone saw that pregame segment with Tanner Morgan, but it baffles me how these guys look like such impressive athletes warming up and doing drills, and then get out there and look like trash.

Just goes to show how far the average shlub is from these athletes.

Neb got called for pulling on the jersey of Olave in the End Zone...hmmm, that didn't happen last week when that happened to MSU pulling on our guy.

Targeting rule continues to ruin games: UNC just lost on of their defensive captains when he made slight helmet/helmet contact on a running qb while clearly trying to arrest his own momentum.

Nebraska's backup quarterback has got to be literally a corn of corn--how do you tolerate the foibles of Adrian Martinez otherwise? The hole was right there on the option and and he flat-out misses it, then he under throws an open receiver.

Nebraska had all those trick plays prepared for Michigan. Where is that against OSU? Why do other teams just target michigan ? Prepare something for OSU gd it.

OSU D is handling NE well. No spread will work on OSU D due their speed. Only way Michigan could upset OSU would be for Cade to have a bigger day then against OSU.

Don't they call illegal man downfield on punts anymore? Everyone had left the line by time the Ohio St punter kicked it.

In the NCAA rules, the only description of the Ineligible Receiver Downfield penalty is below. It can only be called on a forward pass that crosses the line of scrimmage. Since a punt isn't a forward pass, the linemen are able to release as soon as the ball is snapped.

Per sports stack exchange.

Dude playing for North Carolina named Storm Duck. First name (not nickname) Storm, last name Duck. How in the world did Michigan not recruit him?
