Michigan offered 2019 cornerback Rod Heard from Farmington Hills (MI) Harrison. He's 5'10", 170 lbs. and has offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa State, Purdue, Syracuse, and some MAC teams. 247 Sports has him as a 3-star, the #84 cornerback, and #893 overall.

His low key behavior, his recruiting moves and the coaching shake up smells to me of a man who is humbly looking to pivot in substance beyond merely rotating assistants in order to find the excellence he requires of himself and those around him. IMO, it's important to have a mix. Michigan took bigger defensive backs in the 2018 class.
But still Michigan's best corners have been the shorter guys like Jourdan Lewis, Lavert Hill, David Long, etc. Channing Stribling and Jeremy Clark have been solid, but the playmakers are the guys who are 5'10" or 5'11".
