Normally I'm all for another round of shots at Sparty, but you see things like this and you just can't help but feel like it's going to happen to us and everybody else too.

Maybe it’s just becomes a free for all, matching up any two teams who can suit up in a given week. Throw the schedules, conferences, rivalries out and just smash two teams together at random if they can get 11 guys on a side? Would certainly be the wildest college football season ever. That said yeah they probably won’t play a full season if at all and I am sad.

Nobody has to drop out. Teams don’t drop out when a player gets the flu. Isolate the player and the rest of the team plays on.

we have to get enough people infected to reach herd immunity and it is best to accomplish that with young healthy people who are low risk for death or serious illness. For most of the population, this is a rather mild disease.

Literally no Major health experts or organizations believe or advocate your exceedingly dumb and reckless theory because spread among young people speeds the spread among everyone. They don’t live in a bubble. Do you not read? Can you not accept science?

Enough with the herd immunity fantasy.   It’s not going to happen without a vaccine.  Think of it this way...  the population of Michigan is about 10,000,000.  The low end estimate for what is required for herd immunity is 40% (most estimates are much higher, but for this example let’s go with the best case scenario.   Given those parameters, Michigan would have to have nearly 11,000 new Covid cases every day for a year to get to 40% “herd immunity”.  That would be a complete catastrophe in every sense of the word, and that’s the best case scenario for your strategy.

It is all about the money.  That is where it starts and ends.

I'd love to see college sports this fall but I simply don't believe that unless we say screw it and throw caution to the wind, we aren't playing fall sports this year.

Didn't like 20+ people on some SEC Teams test positive? Not trying to make it sound like "just 2" from MSU got it, but if this is how schools are going to handle it, I don't see how a season will be possible. Look at the MLB and their positive testing. The only way to have a season is to assume some people will get it, which doesn't seem all that smart. Have a good weekend Y'All -- stay safe.

This is what is going to happen. The SEC will play all their games in full stadiums. Most of these states college football is all there is and they are open states with little to no restrictions.

Clemson on the other hand is ACC and I really don't see most of teams on their schedule having a season. Perhaps Clemson will pickup some more games vs SEC.

The best thing that could happen to Clemson has happened when the school announced on-line only classes for the fall.  When schools reopen, all hell is going to break loose, pandemically speaking and social distancing will fly out the window, assuming it was there in the first place.

Well, it seems like Michigan won't have to face Justin Fields, Shaun Wade, Wyatt Davis, Baron Browning, and potentially Josh Myers, Chris Olave and Jeremy Ruckert ever again? yay?

You know, since college football isn’t happening I would love to see each university have a tournament of their students.

How many can play on the same team at the same time on ncaa14? Can you have 4 to a team?

Winners of the university tournament would play out the 2020 schedule against the champions From the other schools.

I would watch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
